This seems to me to be an entirely pointless interview. Mapes states in her book that Bush volunteered - the point is that he rapidly withdrew the offer. If you had read her book you would realise that the programme as it went out was not as she or Mr. Rather wished it to be. Also it is quiet ridiculous to call CBS liberal; part of the point of the subsequent investigation is that the organization was trying to protect its corporate health by happily sacrificing a 'real' news programme.

O'Reilly is WRONG! I have been to the TANG and they say that Bush ABSOLUTELY DID receive favorable treatment AND there is evidence that he NEVER SOLOED in his flight training.
