  • Whats the song the video starts with? :)

  • lol where´s the 3rd riff?

  • ew 13's.I got 9's. so much easier :D

  • What are your amp settings?

  • You started off real clear but than I think you sped up to the point of assuming that everyone knew what you were doing. All in all this is a pretty good lesson if one has the patience to go over riffs 2-4 several times to figure out what you are "breezing" over.

    Thank You

  • this a great lesson! thanks bro..

  • First off, Thanks a Bunch for taking the time to walk us thru this... BUT! you didn't go thru slowly the best part at 1:10 - 1:20!!!! And its just alittle hard to follow.. Anyway, Thanks!

  • @tktrips9 They're octaves, if it helps... Pretty much the same as the ending of the solo

  • DUDE !!!

  • bien faite!!mais faut comprendre l'américain....!!pour les ptits détails.....!!!!

  • dude...I got into guitar because of this song. You made learning it easy! Thanks so much!!! Keep em comming!

  • Excellent. Thanks mate!

  • how did u get that sound? I NEED TO KNOW!!!

  • I don't know how he did, but quickest way is e flat tuning with 12-56 strings, texas special pickups, and a fender tube amp cranked up pretty high. I spent about 1800 bucks to get this tone. I'm sure it can be done cheaper though.

  • stevie ray did everything a half step down as far as i know. also because it makes bends easier on big strings.

  • I'm aware of that. Pla along with "Little Wing" from The Sky Is Crying CD. It's in E Natural. Again, he did this because that's the way Jimi did it. Sounds better too. You don't have to believe me; just go to the CD.

  • $1800 bucks. Dude, I got the original Tube Screamer, real vintage '64 Blackface Fender Vibroverb, '61 Strat w/original pickups and a '66 Fender Blackface Super Reverb. Talk about going for it. You don't wanna know how much I spent. I'm too embarassed to say. I don't have any of that gear today. My tone was great though.

  • Garth: I'm so f-ing sorry. Little Wing is in E flat. My bad. I'm confused with another tune. Man I fucked that up. I appreciate you're bringing that to my attention. You're the baddest. I was wrong, wrong, wrong.

  • it's all good.

  • @garthhammons

It sounds slightly darker which I personally believes kicks ass for that Stevie/ Hendrix type deep blues. I don't think it had anything to do with the bends because Stevie had some of the strongest fingers of any guitar player to ever live.

  • No dude,He didn't.

  • Dude: I apologized earlier. Just look 5 posts down you'll see I ate shit on that. I believe there's some song he does in E but I don't know which one it is. Thanks for being the 100th person to notice I effed that up.

  • No problem man.

  • Eb like garth said

Mooretone pickups, Vintage Tube amp for sure, big strings (I use 13-58), high action. I can send you my amp settings I you would like

  • @Bleblu245 WOW, .13's?

    I lose calluses on .11's.

My fingers are strong enough, but the skin won't take it.

  • @cparx I use 12-54 atm, when I get better and more fluent, imma switch up to 13-58. A couple of months of playing with heavy gauge strings has made my grip very strong. Now smaller strings just feel weak and boring. :P As if there's less music in them x)

  • great work i subscribed

  • this is really good man. great lesson and great srv tone. thanks!

  • good shit man 5* good tone everything thanks

  • 5* Great tone
