Realistically, the Ori will win unless they create a weapon to kill ascended beings. Ori tech is simply way too hyper-advanced to be defeated. Not even the Asgard technology that the Asgard gave Earth efore blowing themselves up can stand up to it.

Actually, they have already killed the ascended beings in The Shroud and confirmed it in Dominion, they just need to convince people that their Gods are dead. And, the Asgaurd tech can stand up to it, they just weren't able to handle the non-stop onslaught.

No, the weapon only effected the Ori galaxy (don't ask me about the logic of it, considering they live in a state outside of physical existance) so the ascended beings from the Milky Way and the Pegasus galaxy (if any ascended over there) were safe. Remember how they kept talking about how they expected the Ancients to stop them from building the weapon, they didn't stop them because they were safe.

I can understand not helping Humans, but they were friends of the Asgard for thousands of years before ascension, and yet they felt no compassion for their degenerative disease and just let them die. They made decisions that eliminated the possibility of ascension by ending their natural evolution. Remeber that the Asgard were not just another race existing on a lower plane: they were once friends of the Ancients, they talked with the Ancients, looked in their eyes, etc. They were not a "lower" species, but a highly evolved one that was once part of the Alliance of the Four Great Races together with the Ancients. I just thought that this was would count for something in the eyes of the Alterans. Now I see that I'm wrong. Poor Asgard.
