Darth could have run into some hard times, or maybe there was an emergency that made him have to drop everything he was doing. Darth seemed to be a well respected member of the community. I am sure that once he is able too he will make it right with your friend, but in the meantime, chill out. The only thing your friend is out is about 10 minutes of his time posting a video.

@indifferenty1701 No more phase out rule. However, there are other changes... Like Warscythes no longer strip invulnerability saves. It's pretty balanced imo, but will take awhile for everybody to get used to.
@watchamacarcess That's okay, we will just use Doomsday Ark and blast you away then, while using Monoliths that deep strike next to you as well. Our Warriors will just sit in cover by the near-by-objectives and camp while Immortals, Lychguard, Wraiths, Triarchs, and other such guys march towards you.
and yes, Necrons can field all of those in a 1500 point or more army :P
If you know how to play you'll know that every army can have a number (ALLOT IF YOU HAVE A CREATIVE MIND) of different styles that can be good or bad aganst other builds, its a mix and match game, also i heard there is no more phase out rule, can ther enot that hard to kill anymore but can field more and have more units than before. but we'll all find out just enjoy and play the game.

I don't understand the amount of bitching going on cuz warriors now have a 4+ sv. Srsly, they got nearly a 1/3 drop in points for pretty much the same statline, STFU ppl. And if its that big a deal just have a lord with the unit and turn that %+ RP into a 4+ RP. Warriors are a steal really. A 13pt troop choice thats strong, tough, a great shot, and an average armor save along with a FNP that you get no matter what at 5+? not to mention its anti-armor? Yeah, keep bitching guys.
ok i got thenew codex yesterday and i have to say i was really impressed at the level of variety . What i always hated about necrons was the shortage of diffrent models and characters (and phase out) sure some of the models look a bit worse than they used to like flayed ones and yes the "will be back" has disemproved aswell as the warriors armor save "4+" but i think that over all the army has greatly improved mainly on fire power and i cant wait to finally play them :)
...idk, on individual merits or if this was the initial release i might like it more, but as a continuation of an established idea, it kind of retcons some things in a way i'm not sure feels right to me.

The C'tan's are no longer HQ's or even entire C'tans but you can now get them as fragments of the C'tan and they're an elites choice, so... That's what they've done now.

@LORDLOSS18 the lychguard are 5 to 10 model melee infantry, they can each have either a warscythe, which ignores saves, Dispersion Shield, which grant a 4+ invulnerable save, if they make it against a shooting attack they can have an enemy squad withing 6' take the attack instead.
The Praetorians are 5 to 10 model jump infantry who can get rods of the covenant, power weapons which also count as having AP2 assault weapons or void blades. both of them have 2 attacks i think, and about 3+ saves

@LORDLOSS18 your welcome it gets even better, Necron Deathmarks are snipers, who can be deep striked whenever an opponent deploys from reserve, ON THEIR TURN, when they're deployed u can make any squad, and from then on all deathmarks will wound that squad on a 2+ so yeah Mat ward did a line of coke then started writing

@Makooma yes I bought this edition of White dwarf and read a bit about it. They have personalities now. They feel pain and emotions. In one short story It said how Imotekh (leader of the Sautekh dynasty) is complaining about a bad hip
I think they put some of the units in finecast because it makes them cheaper to produce, therefore making more profit. Cant blame GW for wanting to make money. heck I would want them to make all their models finecast if it halts all the price rises
Gamesworkshop is selfish. They put the immortals in plastic, the pretorians in plastic, and a bunch of other things in plastic, but the flayed ones in finecast? Wtf?!?! I don't have much money and have always loved the flayed ones, but this now means that the new ones will probably be 45 bucks. That's a waste of money! I just put in an order from gamesworkshop for the old flayed ones and it's cheaper in the long run!
@Darth0ink Is that even possible? The old flayed ones are no longer on the website where I am. I say do it: the old ones are cheaper and even better looking imho.(rare cases when this happens)
im sorry if i sound like a butt but there was only one thing that they needed to change in the rules which was the phase out rule because they didn't need to change the whole army because now it doesn't have the unique feel to it and it looks list all the rest of that armys that they make and they should have never changed to finecast cause it sucks and the old models look better than this new stuff that there trying to make us buy there was no reason to do a total remake of the army

I don't get why the new vehicles have drivers? It's like "Hey our Monoliths are sentient, but we couldn't be bothered to meld our super-double-mega awesome Living Metal to the titchy ships, so we stuck a poor robot on to drive them!"
But, yeah, the models are REALLY nice. Just not what I'd think of as Necron-y, more like Tomb Kings In Space.

@watchamacarcess Abuse weapons that knock out amor saves, and necrons will die pretty fast.
Their revive rule is only a 5+ now, save for Necron Lords that take Orbs, then it is a 4+.
Either way, the same rule applied as before; kill the troop choices of the necrons.

It looks like they did the same thing as with the Dark Eldar, and made almost every model finecast. In my opinion, That kinda sucks.
