  • This music is the same as the Handel harp concerto. I suppose the harp concerto was transcribed from this work.

  • The original was actually written for harp and first performed in 1732 as an interlude to "Alexander's Feast".

    Händel's publisher later issued the same piece for organ (1738), as that would sell better than a harp concerto.

    Although I utterly adore this version on harpsichord, it was never Händel's intention.
