I agree. Most models whom are black seem to do better in their career if they have lighter skin or are mixed race etc. OR they are, as i like to call them "a white girl dipped in chocolate" in other words, they are black but they have the white features such as the nose, lips etc.

UM i like bow they tried to just skip over the fact that she is black to (african-american) they said " iam dominican and portugese). its like yur exoticness is never attributed tu yur blackness. but she does seem super cool and is extremely beautiful. i dont think she looks ethiopian at all. maybe a lil somalian, becuz of the complexion but thats all

I love this girl ! she is so honest and smart. 1 thing I will say thank G-d being black is no longer viewed as ugly or dim... being black is beautiful come on chocolate color and a hot body. 1 thing I would like to advice Sessilee yes you ar e black 100%% eventhough your parents are from the caribbean but you are we are black.

Agree totally with what Sessilee said about traveling and getting out there. If you stay in the same place all the time, you just stay simple minded. Traveling and getting out makes you cultured and worldly. This may sound stupid but she is so right about that.

People of darker skin are beautiful. Just because society doesnt portray dark skin women alot in the media does not mean that they should feel unattractive.quite frankly she is beautiful and i would love see more people of color in the fashion industry. QUESTION?? Is it just me or does anyone notice how most models, whom are black, do well in their career only if they are mixed with another race and/or have lighter skin?

@yonnaj05 It's because mixing between any 2 races usually results in better looking offsprings, that's a fact. It's because this way the child receives the best of both genes from the parents as opposed to random selection. Ever noticed how mixed people are usually good looking? So there, it's not because the fashion or modeling industries are prejudice it's just that naturally they're usually better looking and coincidentally that's exactly what the modeling industries are looking for.

alot of black people in America are mixed with other races, whether a little or a lot. U can usually tell the difference between an afro- American and a south african. ppl usually say as long as u got a little blck in u, ur considered black.
