I think the TC has to win. I mean seriously, it has 18 presets. That basically means you can model almost any distortion pedal ever (not including fuzz obviously). It's pretty much having 18 distortion pedals in 1. It also has the option of Overdrive and/or Distortion. You can even change the routing with overdrive into distortion or distortion into overdrive. It also communicates with the G system which is awesome and you can recall presets using the g system. TC over Boss any day.
One thing people should keep in mind as can be heard on this vid is that the Nova Drive is a "dark" sounding pedal. But with all instruments, they creat great tone when quality equipment are put together. Try the Nova through a cheap amp and it'll sound too muddy for you, but stick it in front of a hot tube amp and you'll know why this pedal is getting all the hype it is.
No offense to Boss (I still use a Gt-6 for quick gigs), but Boss crunch/dist pedals are too harsh and have no "life" IMO.
It's cruel that you would make the boss ds1 look so bad! lol jk jk. TC Nova Drive is the best! I'd love to hear people argue that the $40 digital pedal reigns over all other pedals.
