  • Damn!

  • If Pete had played for the Celtics his entire career he would've had a longer career.

  • I learned somehow the one with the clapping and catching it back. its not that hard when you get it, got to minimize the movement of hands. great drills!!

  • Love it. "and that's why he's Pete Maravich"

  • were watching the legacy of two greats who are no longer with us

  • quickest hands ever, dude is amazing

  • OMFG!!! If he failed the fastest one, his balls will get inside his ass hole!!!

Fast hands, one of the best ever!!!

  • Hey guys check out my version of the ricochet. Hope you like it

  • nba players 2day cud learn from htis

  • pistol pete is so under rated as a player he cud take out ai and ais my favourite player :D

  • Unfortuantly I think the reason why he is underrated is because his basketball career was cut horribly short, and gave in to alcohol. Its truly sad for one of the most talented basketballers to go out in such fashion.

  • @obebe11 ughh maybe

  • @obebe11 He didin't go into alcohol. Get your facts straight!!! He had banged up knees ever since his second season and kept playing until his tenth. Then he past away at 40 because he had a heart attack. He has nothing to do with alcoholismand also he was a huge Christian ever since he was a kid.

  • These guys both seem so cool. Would have loved to learn ball from both of them. Both are legends.

  • one of the legends of the game along with moses malone an the other greats

  • When he claps his hands it looks like the camera is being sped up, but it's not. Pretty awesome.

  • red loved maravich. remember when maravich came to the celtics at the end of his career. red said his job was to shoot and he would make up for lack of speed on defense with team defense.

  • sick!

  • like a pistol :P

  • he is with out a doubt the best ball handler that has played in the NBA. ever

  • old basketball shorts are short

  • they should have had Red on Roundball: Dunking with Mike Jordan

  • Think it would be better with Red on Roundball : Going Baseline and still lays it in with Julius Erving

  • man i would have loved to meet pete and red. thanks for the vid

  • Freakin Fast Hand!

    Pistol Pete the ultimate player!

  • Thunda Thighs.

  • I read a book about him. Used to work out with NO Saints, could squat more than any of their linebackers

  • Like Einstein or Hendrix the world will NEVER catch up.

  • The truth is that Maravich played in an era where conservative basketball ruled. His dad let him play. The NBA coaches did not. 30 years ahead of his time, at least, and a genius.

  • Pete Maravich is a globetrotter.

  • that last quickness drill is ridiculous

    the ball hardly fell

ive tried it so many times and it is nearly impossible

  • Pistol Pete was a basketball genius

  • WHo the heck is Thumper Newman?

  • pistol pete averaged more points than some of the great ball players today with no 3 point line if pete played todays basketball he would be a god end of the pistol is a true great.

    R.I.P

    PETE MARAVICH

  • Only if there were, as Red put it, "great, great gods of basketball" would Pete be remembered as one of them. (No blasphemy intended.)

  • if anyone thinks these drills are easy then go try them. I did and soon realized it would take hours of practice to master them. Then again, most of us are not The Pistol.

  • i think he is the best ever better them m j

  • they're both my favorite players with completley diff. styles. Divine in their own rights

  • If Red coached Maravich in his prime - barring injury - the Celtics may have about 25 banners hanging from the rafters.

  • One of the greatest comments I have ever read. U are exactly right and it is so true I can't stop laughing. The year Pistol got hurt in New Orleans they missed the playoffs couldn't sell tickets and moved the team to Utah. Damn that sucks cause the New Orleans Jazz should still be there today. Once again great comment.

  • His Basketball Shorts

Rigth Know is BOXER'S for NEW GENERATION PLAYERS

    LOL!!

    R.I.P

    PISTOL PETE

  • He also looks like he hit the weights pretty good at this point. He's not crazy buff but he's not the rail-thin college boy he used to be.

  • He did move his feet during the thigh slap but he's still a fuckin monster.

  • did red just call him a basketball god? i agree.

  • Greatest player ever!!!! Without this guy there would be no larry bird or MJ or others. He used to dribble out of a moving car going 20 mph! and he dribbled throughout movies! Amazing!

  • Hes friggin amazing, I challenge all you fuckers to try and do any of those drills half as fast.

  • I can do the one where he slaps his thighs real fast up to 8 and I done the the one behind the knee

  • yeah u did work! haha

  • wow you faggot that "old man" is one of the most famous coaches in basketball history red auerbach. so i would suggest you stop commenting a video ever again for the sake of not embarrasing yourself

  • that "old man" is the greatist coach ever no question. He helped make basketball what it is to day. Ur a fucking clueless fuck. if u don't know of red and you consider yourself a bball fan u should fuck off

  • Ended his career in Boston

  • definitly one of the gaurds to ever play the game he can do things with a basketball that nobody else will everer be able to do let alone half the nba players today hes was a great embassador for the game

  • Does anyone have this entire video? I had when i was younger and it really help my game. Now I have a boy of my own and would like him to watch it. Can anyone out there help me?

  • Run a search on the NBA's website (in the video section) or here (youtube).

  • @pattyofagan This show would come on during half time of the NBA games, back in the day. I've not seen any longer recorded version of this other the what's showed here from the 1970's.

  • His hands are so strong, fast, and he has lots of power. He was such a great athelete.

  • "And that's why he's Pete Maravich."

    : - )

  • Pete is so good! My favorite bball player ever, great court sense, great shot and so creative!

  • Bullet Ricochet, Space Catch, Knee Clap.....Classic Pistol Pete!

  • short shorts...

  • i thought the bullet one was gonna hit his balls ouch xD

  • It'll never hit you there if you keep your legs straight. Your thighs will always stop it.

  • @1avardac my balls are too big{:

  • pete was a magician with the ball

  • Pete could handle the basketball.

  • if u do that first drill make sure u wear a cup.

  • AMAZING!!

  • WOW!!!!

  • wayne 'the train'
