I learned somehow the one with the clapping and catching it back. its not that hard when you get it, got to minimize the movement of hands. great drills!!
Unfortuantly I think the reason why he is underrated is because his basketball career was cut horribly short, and gave in to alcohol. Its truly sad for one of the most talented basketballers to go out in such fashion.
@obebe11 He didin't go into alcohol. Get your facts straight!!! He had banged up knees ever since his second season and kept playing until his tenth. Then he past away at 40 because he had a heart attack. He has nothing to do with alcoholismand also he was a huge Christian ever since he was a kid.
red loved maravich. remember when maravich came to the celtics at the end of his career. red said his job was to shoot and he would make up for lack of speed on defense with team defense.
The truth is that Maravich played in an era where conservative basketball ruled. His dad let him play. The NBA coaches did not. 30 years ahead of his time, at least, and a genius.
pistol pete averaged more points than some of the great ball players today with no 3 point line if pete played todays basketball he would be a god end of the pistol is a true great.
if anyone thinks these drills are easy then go try them. I did and soon realized it would take hours of practice to master them. Then again, most of us are not The Pistol.
One of the greatest comments I have ever read. U are exactly right and it is so true I can't stop laughing. The year Pistol got hurt in New Orleans they missed the playoffs couldn't sell tickets and moved the team to Utah. Damn that sucks cause the New Orleans Jazz should still be there today. Once again great comment.
Greatest player ever!!!! Without this guy there would be no larry bird or MJ or others. He used to dribble out of a moving car going 20 mph! and he dribbled throughout movies! Amazing!
wow you faggot that "old man" is one of the most famous coaches in basketball history red auerbach. so i would suggest you stop commenting a video ever again for the sake of not embarrasing yourself
that "old man" is the greatist coach ever no question. He helped make basketball what it is to day. Ur a fucking clueless fuck. if u don't know of red and you consider yourself a bball fan u should fuck off
definitly one of the gaurds to ever play the game he can do things with a basketball that nobody else will everer be able to do let alone half the nba players today hes was a great embassador for the game
Does anyone have this entire video? I had when i was younger and it really help my game. Now I have a boy of my own and would like him to watch it. Can anyone out there help me?
@pattyofagan This show would come on during half time of the NBA games, back in the day. I've not seen any longer recorded version of this other the what's showed here from the 1970's.
Damn!

If Red coached Maravich in his prime - barring injury - the Celtics may have about 25 banners hanging from the rafters.
