Too easy. The prophesies of Jesus' birth, life, death and resurection predate most of the other stories mentioned. Further everything occured just as it was written in Genesis. So, as phrophesied in Genesis the snake was going to be defeated by the seed of the woman (or a virgin birth). This history in Genesis was known and all of the myths that followed played upon this known history of man. So, it is not Jesus' life copying these myths, but the myths were retelling the phophesies of Jesus

There is research regarding the Star of Bethlehem which apparently indicates that Christ was born in March or April. I'm not sure why you pose these so-called tough questions. As an agnostic, I find them unconvincing as to the uselessness of Christiaity. Most people accept that there are alot of inaccuracies and outright myths in the Bible.
There is a book that I enjoyed reading that answers this question. It is called Eternity In Their Heart. Taking a 200 page book and recapping the author would say sure there are similar stories all around the world, but how did all these different groups come up with the same story unless someone (God) put the story in their hearts. it is God telling the world what he is going to do so that no one has an excuse for not believing. Read the book and you'll see a lot of incredible stories.

In fact he only makes one single appearance in hebrew scripture, that's in Job, and he was a child of god working for him, not some fallen angel in that story. Constantine saw no miracles, he saw a new religion that could be used to reunify the roman empire, which did in fact keep it alive longer than it would have.

Too easy. The prophesies of Jesus' birth, life, death and resurection predate most of the other stories mentioned. Further everything occured just as it was written in Genesis. So, as phrophesied in Genesis the snake was going to be defeated by the seed of the woman (or a virgin birth). This history in Genesis was known and all of the myths that followed played upon this known history of man. So, it is not Jesus' life copying these myths, but the myths were retelling the phophesies of Jesus

1. Jesus wasn't born "three days after the winter solstice", it was sometime in the spring. No one really knows for sure what date it was. The church chose December 25th as the day to celebrate his birth on to overshadow many pagan traditions, some of which are still practiced because people now associate them with the birth of Christ.
2. The wise men didn't attend Jesus' birth. They came along when He was a toddler.

There is research regarding the Star of Bethlehem which apparently indicates that Christ was born in March or April. I'm not sure why you pose these so-called tough questions. As an agnostic, I find them unconvincing as to the uselessness of Christiaity. Most people accept that there are alot of inaccuracies and outright myths in the Bible.

There is a book that I enjoyed reading that answers this question. It is called Eternity In Their Heart. Taking a 200 page book and recapping the author would say sure there are similar stories all around the world, but how did all these different groups come up with the same story unless someone (God) put the story in their hearts. it is God telling the world what he is going to do so that no one has an excuse for not believing. Read the book and you'll see a lot of incredible stories.

Many other characters fit the "December 25th..." idea because that is a Pagan holiday. Each Pagan religion worshipped the sun. I am not part of a church or follow any religion. When Christianity was introduced to the Gentiles (Romans), they added Pagan elements to it in order to attract more followers to the new Christian religion. According to Bible scripture it does not say that anywhere that Jesus was born December 25. If you follow months and dates correctly you will learn that Jesus was actually born in the fall. December 25th is a Pagan holiday for sun worship.

Bacchus was the Roman version of Dionysos, who was the son of Zeus and Semele; they had had sex, so she wasn't a virgin. First of all, the prophecies called for the messiah to be of the SEED of david. In other words of his sperm, which is genetic. That's not passed through adoption. Second, to be king in the hebrew lineal tradition, adopted children were not considered, nor for the priestly cast.

Two big problems with that. First of all, in the language this was written the accurate translation says YOUNG WOMAN, not virgin, lol. And second, no one ever called jesus Emanuel in his life time.

@humanistheart You are showing your ignorance again. "Young maid" is the correct word: I speak Hebrew. It is the same word as "Virgin" in Hebrew -Bethoolaw- since young maids were virgins...ESHAW was the word for a wife.
No no one called him "Emanuel"? They called him "God with us" which is what Emanuel means-ie God in the flesh, and Christainity calls him God.(with men). Expand yr mind. Clearly, U do NOT comprehend the Word of God it is obviously too deep for you.

@humanistheart Correction. It is the same word for virgin and young maiden. They don't call a woman who has had sex a maiden. It is a different word. The Hebrew language has the same word for other things too eg. wind and spirit. I would say that Virgin is a correct translation.
Don't you know.....Jesus IS Immanuel. It is one of His names. He is also the Word. Yeshua. Lamb of God. The Christ. Messiah. All these names are Jesus.

I don't know if the other characters you mentioned had similar stories to Jesus or not but I know that you clearly did not do any real research before making this video but just looked up random independent websites on the internet rather than thinking for yourself. How funny that YOU are guilty of "embellishing" your point by giving a character who is not similar to Jesus. UCSD anthropology club studied Quetzalcoatl's story and he had nothing in common with those Jesus details you mentioned.

TOUGH QUESTIONS FOR CHRISTIANS #31: MADE UP BY SATAN... first of all you mean to tell me you believe there is a SATAN but no christ. 2. satan was a fallen angel who chose to sin, and not serve god, thats why we have a hell, and if you choose not do do the same, in hell you will lift up your eyes. 3.birth was not announced by stars, but the angel told the shepards about him being in a manger, so it was (annouced by angels). no one never said he was born on dec 25, it day set aside for his birth.

no they were not made up by Satan. The story of christ is obviously copying from others. the "being made up by Satan" exuse is to justify the fact that the story of Christ is just a retelling of other stories.

Jesus wasn't born on December 25th. Christmas as a "christian" holiday wasn't instituted until the 4th century and was based on a date that corresponded with the holiday Saturnalia (sp?). It is a holiday that has nothing to do with Christianity.

Like everything else that has occurred in history, myths grow out of the truth. The same with the stories of Christ. George Washington never chopped down a cherry tree. But historical accounts from his contemporaries (history) show he was truly a great man. The Bible is a collection of stories written at different times and later re-translated By Men under various circumstances. Pontius Pilate's rule is an Historical fact (look it up) Why? His only known association is Christ's death

the story of christ has been embellished to mirror the stories that predate him. i dont believe jesus was a miracle worker. he was just a carpenter with a good heart and moral fiber, then killed very brutal by romans (not jews).

How could a man with said attributes be good, but lie about the core of all of his teachings, which was that he was the Son of God? A good man would not deceive THOUSANDS upon THOUSANDS of followers. Either call him a liar, a lunatic, or Lord. Take your pick buddy.

@TheOnlyAttrition So you are saying that his disciples, whom were all killed (except for one) by roman officials for their belief in Christ, died horrifically painful deaths for a man who simply had "a good heart"? Bro, just because it was 2000 years ago doesn't mean people were insane. Almost forgot, all of the disciples' deaths were recorded in official roman documents. Nobody "embellished" their stories.

What if there were 20 similarities connecting me to other historic figure. Well guess what? Since you don't have video or personal evidence for my existence you have the right to say "I" don't exist.
