The worst was Air India in Mumbai. Three hours to wait in crowd for boarding tickets at 3:00 am. No lines established just "hoards" of angry people.

Also been Trichur, Calicut, Varkala, Trivandrum, Kovalam in 79 when there was but one hotel (today's Kempinski). Thanx for the tip abt Gokarna, sounds like just what we're looking for. Always wanted to see some wildlife, never did. You live in India, I suppose?

@hashpuppy101 Yes, Gokarna looks great, but its simply too far from kerala. Last year we spent 2 weeks on Sri Lanka, after Kerala, and I wont repeat this travelling ordeal. In Colombo Kingfisher wouldnt let us board the flight back to Kochi (2 month visa rule) although we had been assured by immigr. Chennai this was no problem for us. So we rerouted directly Colombo-Europe w Emirates, instad from Kochi, for extra euro 620. We also lost our hotel prepayment in Kochi. It was very upsetting.

It has been over 2 years now since the start of Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad and that place is super clean, well maintained and world class in amenities and services. I love the express-way leading up to the airport from downtown Hyderabad. If they can do it in Hyderabad, why not the capital of India?
