The song he is listening to is called "Take California" by "Propellerheads" on their 1998 album "Decksandrumsandrockandroll" if anyone was wondering. You can tell when he drags it from iTunes to his iPod.
okai..... that isnt jeff goldblum lol thats a British Asian actor, whos not been so successful, but is/has been on Eastenders (a famous tv drama show in england).. thought i just add that lol
@kdude4781kand thx for clarification. I am not hip to your generation's sense of humor. And to me, it doesn't seem so long ago that the walkman was the height of new technology !
So..iPods came out in 2005 or 2006? It wasnt long ago but I dont keep track of these things as I do not usually have technological equipment. I remember when everybody almost in class suddenly had an ipod and I wondering what the hell has the world invented now.
atleast the Zen V M was durable, man I dropped it so many times it even got a chip in its casing, still works to this day lol. The older iPods were similar, they were durable, the HDD's themselves didn't get alot smaller, Apple just ditched any "unnecassary" shock absorbers and such and packed the components inside better, therefore also increasing the risk of breaking, my dad's iPod video 30GB screen cracked from a fall onto the floorboards. Too bad Creative stopped the ZVM line tho :-( Archos?
They did?? Well I got mine just in time, then. Still love it to bits, purely because of the changeable menus and wallpapers, and the fact that its lasted this long. Even though when I whip it out and everyone else has their iPods, iPhones and various other iCraps, I look like a schmuck. Not in the slightest way embarrassing, though. PROUD. Lmao. Do you have yours still?? x
The story is true - sound quality is going down hill - but that is what technology does. It takes the essential of what the user wants and gives it to them cheaply. An LP running through a 8 ohm speaker was always going to sounds better than any format of digital recording where the concept of sampling is at fault. The problem is - modern kids don't know what good sound sounds like - it isn't a technical specification - its a feeling - and that isn't measurable!

FLAC through a good pair of headphones sounds just about the same, though, and it's more durable than a record.
@AgesOfYou827 omg so beautyful thats so what we agree wht so couldent put it betta oursleves u keep byin CDs cassetts n records AWSOME STUFF THATS WHAT REAL MUSIC IS ALL ABOUT
@AgesOfYou827 I'm 15 and I grew up with MP3's, CD's and iPods. Yet I'm nearly an audiophile, perfect sound is a must. So please, don't say modern kids don't know, the ones that don't know don't have sufficient audio interest. Kinda like how DVD quality is good for some while Bluray is a must for others.

Will Bryston's new external DAC improve the sound of my CD player? Or am I better off buying the Cambridge 840C?
