Give him a few years but he should become better. I do agree with you that players like Flamini, Sagna, Clichy should have been called up. I also think Lassana Diarra should have gotten his opportunity.

There was also that time a couple of seasons ago ,when they started slowly got criticized back home, (and rightly so) and went all the way to the final. There's two games to go, regardless of what happens they have a chance.

Just ot be clear: France did right what Holland didn't. Their overseas colonies were just French. Holland didn't take the responsibility with countries like Suriname and Indonesia. Gomis is terrific. I saw a lot of him on Eurogoals. I don't know how it is in France, but in Holland he probably wouldn't get the chance. He would be to arrogant, selfcentered, etc. (to be short: black). Over the last few years, the Dutch only want players that they want as their son-in-law.

The difference with the Holland is that: French overseas department are and remain as all other departments of metropolitan France.
Martinique, French Guiana, Guadeloupe etc.... are not a country but just department of France. So, what's the problem ? France IS and WILL ALWAYS BE like that. In Holland, Suriname arent Department of Holland but independant country.

You're white, so not so many people would have any trouble with you anyway. Gomis grew up in France, so should be playing for France. You're right about the fact that it are diferent countries. And I also think that you should play for your country. But I think (and I don't think we're that different in our opinion) when a player of non-native heritage can call a certain country 'hìs' (f.e. when he grew up their, of was even born there), than you should be considered just as Dutch, French, etc..

In football, you'll always see that the best team, is the team with the right synergy between characters and influences (same goes actually for every other form of organizatioan). What I wonder is how you guys stand against people like Johan Vonlanthen and Neel Jani?

U are right when you say that the black peolpe are esteemed only when there are superstars but it is the same,in each contries.
My parents are not french but Iam born in France and when I see the gouvernement I am not feeling french but when I see the actually french team,I am proud to be french.
