... als ich FRUMPY zum ersten Mal hörte, dachte ich, da singt n Mann.

Ich war 16 (Jg. 66) und für mich (behind the Iron Curtain) wars - in den 80ern! - fast ein Wunder.

Anfang der 90er hatte ich das Vergnügen, Frau Rumpf live zu erleben - und darf sagen, dass sie (zu diesem Zeitpunkt) nichts an Stimmkraft eingebüßt hatte!

Und wenn ich jetzt dieses Clips anschaue (danke dafür!!) - wundere ich mich immer noch, wo dieses zarte Wesen DIESE KRASSE Stimme hernimmt!

The original is by RICHIE HAVENS. I prefer this version to the original but my favourite version is by Julie Driscoll, Brian Auger and the Trinity. Awesome vocals and the Keyboards out of this world!!!
