@1mataleo1 I agree that the back up is amazing. I love the high, strong voice of the guitar player. You should listen to their version of Sound of Silence if you haven't. He sings lead and between the way he plays his guitar and belts out that song, it absolutely melts me. I'd like to hear them do some Beach Boys or even some Don Henley or certain Eagles songs.
yes robwoozle, we made a 2 houres S&G Tribute show. We recorded this show on DVD and some videos you can find on YouTube. Good to know that you enjoy it.
Me and my boyfriend (Turksonbass) LOVE your S&G covers! We totally think that with the right promotion and management you could totally do a tour of the USA if you desired. We have not heard of another S&G band . Tribute bands here are really popular and you are fabulous.
Hello Catkisser, thank you for your response on this video. We know that tribute bands are very popular in your country and we love to tour over there. Who know we will see eachother on a concert someday?!?!
Good morning Turksonbass, thank you for your comment on this video. I never been to Chicago but as I can see on internet the weather looks simular to Holland. We have had a very long and cold winter with a lot of snow. That's the reason why we recorded recently a new song of our own called "Je Gaat Snel". The lyrics are in our own language and it's about ski (wintersport). You can find the video on our other account called: ferry forehand. The link you can find on this account.
Hello Eeohippus thanks for your response, and yes we play some Chrismas songs, but we don't have these songs on video. Mabye we will make some new Christmas-videos and post it next year on YouTube. On behalf of the band I wish you and your family Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Greatings from Holland, Gerard
As you can see below, I've been a staunch "defender" of the gentlemen's beautiful interpretation of "Kodachrome" --as all of us who wrote comments have, in different degrees.
So, in the spirit of the season, I take advantage of this opportunity to wish the Duo and all of you/us who posted, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Hello MaybeLater500, thanks again for your comment on our videos. On behalf of the band I wish you and your family Merrry Christmas and of course all the best in 2010.
In my opinion, quicker tempo is not needed. They are not trying to "copy" Paul Simon's interpretation of this song -- they have created their own rendition of this classic -- as I said below.
I loved your rendition of this classic. Your voices complement each other's beautifully (good example: "sunny day, oh yeah").
Also, you were smart keeping the same arrangement of the original PS version. The problem with many new renditions of classics is that most of the time the new artist(s) overkill, changing the tune until it becomes unrecognizable. Not you, though.
Hello fricco1994, yes we know it's a Paul Simon song, but we do a Paul Simon - Art Garfunkel tribute, so in our view this song fits very good in the total project.
u guys must enjoyed doing this song with the bass at the beginning i like it j nova scotia
