drumsticks are a big part of drumming thats why it matters I doubt your rock band drumkit would last long if you used DC9s maybe 2b would be fine if you wanted to know weather to use lighter sticks or what kind of taper would be best.

the drumsticks that come with rockband are suckish anyway mine were unbalanced and one of them was even warped

Fail, sticks make a big diffrence. I use light sticks for fast rolls. But if I use them for blasting I won't hit any notes, so for blasting I use bigger and heavier sticks.

I had only ever played drums in Rock Band, started on easy and worked my way up to expert. I picked up the ION kit after my RB1 stock pedal snapped. I had a real drummer set up my IONs like a real drum set, and started working on getting better. The other day I walk into Guitar Center and talk to the guy in the drum department and he lets me jam on the Pearl set they had set up. After I get off he asks me how long I've been drumming. I said that I had never played real drums before. Game helps.

I wondered what the hell drumsticks were and six month later playing on expert drums on Rock Band I ask my friend if I can play quick on his drum set just to see it and before you know it, my friend's staring at me like I'm the President of the Universe or something.
