This is really disgusting...i would have returned that immediately. It's funny how Ebay allows this stuff to be sold on there. This is a good example why Donald Trump recommended we cut all ties off with China.

CHINESE fakes are FLOODING the world. Even Authentic Japanese release are FAKED by Chinese.

One critical sign to look for. :-)

I don't know how much you paid originally. If it was near the 80 to 100 USD it was a complete ripp off. Sorry for my language. Glad to read you got your money back. Because in Asia ( Myamar) you can buy for around 10 USD. Then I would be happy with it. But the problem is E bay and those sellers. They know exactly what is going on. Only e bays wants the advertisement fees and the sellers their part. Capitol should sue them. Allowing sellers to do this and carry on. Ebay is the problem !

@grahamm2709 Proper retailers huh? The Beatles Mono Box set got sold out on the day they got released in Australia! People pre-ordered them then there was none left the shops.. there were only 700 released to Australia.. so it was either get it on ebay or just not get it at all!! when i bought this there was NONE in the shops! Now there is ... and i bought a real one... so don't say HAHA YOU LOST YOUR MONEY... coz NO I didn't! I paid through paypal and i got all my money back!! so HA!

I reported the seller to ebay & paypall and left a deep red feedback on his e-shop . Immediately got a refund from the seller via Paypall. :-) He said he wasn't aware it was fake, but he's still selling the same boxes, and now he's even raised prices... The story continues, at least I got my money back. Cheers! Fred

@kittey1234 Some french ebay seller. I checked her shop, she 's not selling them anymore. If you buy one on ebay, be sure to pay with paypal. They really pay you back if anything is wrong. I got my money back and I never sent the box back. Happy end. I think 99% of the boxes sold on ebay are fake-ones. Greetings, Fred

Definitely fake. I bought the same shit on ebay this week :-( I got a wrong-folded Magical Mystery Tour. There's even no opening in the sleeve, so they just put the cd in between somewhere. They booklet...

Hello LadyBeatle...I also purchased the exact same thing from ebay, and after reading up on the differences between the real thing and the fake, we both have purchased the latter. One give away is the apple logo on the front of the box. The real one is a bright green color all the way through, but ours has some green to it, then goes into a blackish color towards the right.

The smell of the box is also a dead give away.

Anyway, as the old saying goes...you get what you paid for. Take care.

Thejpgr1958@LadyBeatle, I don't know how much good it would do reporting the people who make the fakes to apple corps, but it's worth a try. Would you mind me asking, what was the name of the person on ebay who sold you the fake? The person I bought mine from goes by the moniker vlopezpr. He/she has perfect comments across the board, but that does not mean much any more.

Anyway, I will just keep the fake, and learn from this. I will also save my money and get a real one eventually. Take care.

Apple told me they are gonna contact the company who are making/selling the fakes and shut them down :P

In the box set that you got... are the cds even in mono?? mine are the stereo remasters..

TheJpgr1958@LadyBeatle GOOD FOR APPLE!!! I do hope they go through with this and make it sting real hard for those who make the fakes.

As for the cds in my set, the only one I've listened to was the first disc to The White Album, and believe it or not, the only song I've listened to so far is Don't Pass Me By...and it does have the different violin ending, so so far, that one disc appears to be mono.

As for the others, well since I found out I have a fake set I'm afraid to listen to them...
