Great Job! I do the IEA thing which is a middle school/high school version of IHSA. Are you part of the WVU team because I ride for the Valley Ridge Farm Ridge Riders and I noticed that your video was under the related videos column to some of the WVU girls' videos...
your a very good rider thats easy to tell! but are you sure this is novice b/c this looks like the height of the beginner novice jumping i did at the last show...idk about the jumping you do but when i compete novice for eventing the jumps are around 2'9"
For IHSA (Intercollegiate Horse Show Association) Novice is considered 2' - 2'3, depending on how high the horse can jump. To qualify for the Novice division you can not of jumped 2'9 (or higher) in an A rated show and won 1st place.
Thank you 00purplepony00 for comment about my video! I do take my trainers advice over anyone's advice on youtube (you can see my trainer in the video). I just like to hear from other riders their opinion on my equitation.
Thanks for entering my contest!!! *Good stuff* 1) correct upper body position 2)appropriate crest releases 3)nice turn out (clothes and cleanliness)--shows respect to a judge :D 4)good distances *Bad Stuff* 1) u need to look up between ur horses ears over the jumps 2)u need to lengthen ur leg a little and sink into ur calves 3)hold ur leg with ur thighs and calves instead of ur knee(ur not doing the gripping with ur knees too much but ya..) Ur score: 84/100
OMG u had never ridden this horse before! thats amazin! ur flyin lead changes were awesome i was really hard for me to see them and i think ur the first that i was hard for me to see! so take that as a complement!
I do take your complement as good thing! Equitation is all about trying to make it look like your doing nothing! It all depends on the type of horse if the flying change is going to go well. Izzy was a good boy who listened to me and knew his job.
