It was quite hard to get to the ending,at least for me,so many years ago-but I still remember it as really fun and deep game,even if graphics look outdated now =)
Could have just been an in-joke among the game's developers. It's not uncommon for them to slip something into the credits at times just to see if folks will catch it.

I played this whan I was 12 or 13 and I made it to the last boss but couldn't fight her because I kept getting lost in her palace or whatever you call it. I gave up and eventually sold my SNES. Thank You for this. I always wondered what the ending was like. Fun game.
And I suppose some of the greatest men to grace our own world were "Dick holes" based on the clothes they wore, hmmm?
Anyway, what's wrong with Shadax's hat? It speaks comfort, and it's EVEN got a brim!! Heh! Perfect for ALLLLL conditions, I say! (Isn't that the whole purpose of a hat?)
That ending has far more to it than many of the other titles of it's era.
It has a heap of end dialogue/narrative and a little sequence before the credits.
No offence, Trevelyan2, but this is a far cry from some of the more popular titles of the time; having little more than a single paragraph or picture if that before the credit roll. It could have been FAR worse!

I loved this game, and I did get lost in Sonia's palace but I beat it. : ] Awesome game with awesome music. And I picked this game randomly.

@sergius666 they don't look outdated, except in the overworld
they look excellent in a way that has become relatively unpopular because people more often think (sometimes incorrectly) that 3D is the way to go

This IS number two.
There are only two games in the Solstice series. (Altered Space for the Gameboy is a spinoff of Solstice however)

I highly doubt Sonia was just going to let Shadax strut out of the Ice Palace with a magic carpet!
