This is bible! I was always convinced about all what you are saying but never found anyone saying it out loud and clear as you. The problem according to me is that today special effects are too good. They can drag people to the movies without a story, people will come only for the visuals. My favorite movies are from the seventies. Sixties were usually bad in Hollywood, like today. I hope in a moviepocalipse followed by the birth of a new cinema. Thanks heavens there is independent cinema.

I hope Jack BLack doesn't get all serious like jim carey, and Tom Hanks. He is definately committed. Like Tenacious D, he actually is in the real band and sells albums playing with Kyle Gas for tenacious D. I think this got to directors. Have you noticed all of these flashback movies lately like alvin and the chipmunks, Rambo, speed racer, iron man, and of course, Indiana Jones? Of course you have, you're TMPC.

This movie was good, visually it was amazing how creative you could be with minimal supplies and budget. However the script had many holes and neglected story points. It came off like it was an unfinished script draft.

I have to say this wasn't a good film to see in cinema. The spirit of this movie is kind of ruined if you don't watch this at home.

Big Screen viewing, ruins their small screen parodies.

Like Cloverfield, its no big deal if you see this in low quality. I'd say wait for rental.

This guy is brilliant! I couldn't agree more with almost everything he said, and this movie was great as well. I'm a fan of Michel Gondry, which added to the movie for me, but most people should enjoy it because its exactly what he said.

Personally I'd have given this about 3.5/5. The story was original and clever. However it wasn't quite how you expected it, I think they should have devoted a bit more time the remakes, and less of the stuff inbetween. Had this film done that, I'm sure it would be the best film I've seen this year. At the moment, it is because I haven't seen any others cept NTBOS.

Great idea for a film and I really enjoy most of JB and MG's work. But holy crap did this do bad at the box office. Which makes me a little sad and nervous on where the pulse of america is at. I mean Jumper still did better than this or that crapstastic Hanana M. 3D thing. This was orginial and funny but did horrible...long live good movies but also I hope long live the funding of good movies.

I just came back from it, i thought it was excellent. The way they remade the films was great seeing what they would use or do to try a recreate the scene. The innocence and charm of it on a whole worked very well

oh my god, all of this garbage & history in this film review... too much thought to try to judge if a movie is good or not. i ask you, was it funny?? HELL NO!! i think i laughed 3 times through the whole thing. people were walking out in the middle of it..... was it original, yes.. but who cares. i want to go see a comedy because it is funny.. i am not judging it for a grade on originality. i want to be entertained by it! i want to laugh.. & it failed to do that for me.

Be Kind should be fun, but it's message that the movies made by the two are better then the originals because they're shorter bugs me. It seems to cater to the avante guard short film makers at my film school who seem to think clarity isn't important as long as the personal vision of the director is presented. I think films should be a means of entertainment, so films that tote the message that entertainment is an unintended side effect of art make me mad >:(

i'd have to disagree. I think the message is that the movies made by the two are better because they focus more on the things from the originals that made the audiences happy and makes them relive the time and how they felt when they first saw the original.
