they did NO justice to Grievous in the third movie.. his backstory is just as good [if not better] than Anikan's;

1. Grievous' droid body > Darth Vader's suit..

2. Grievous' love interest died as well, but NOT by his own actions.

3. Grievous was setup to be mortally wounded by the Sith; Anikan's injuries were from arrogance/stupidity.

4. Grievous initially refused to join the Sith & wanted an honorable "Warrior's death"

5. Grievous' story was an UNAVOIDABLE tragedy; Anikan's was easily avoided.

ill explain it.he was a war lord on his home planet so the CIS reconized his records.then they offerd him it but because he wanted to be a jedi he said no.then a bomb hit a ship he was in and messed him up.then they offerd him it again and to rebuild him.he agreed as long as they dont mes with his memory.then he was a good sith and dooku sent him on a ship with two others.asajj ventress and someone else.he made a fool of the two others.

Ok so the whole Grievous is a coward bit has been thrown around quite a bit but the expanded univers stuff shows him in a diffrent light like the book depicting the seige of corcuscant he pretty much slaughtered everything he came across (jedi, clones, civilians and palpy's elite guard) It also mentioned in the Eps III book that sidious told him if there was any interferance on utapau of any kind he should run which he did. this amougst other stuff e.g his origins and what he did before Eps III

Grievous is my all-time favorite sci fi character. He kicked ass in the Clone wars, but for some reason they made him seem almost like a "coward" when they kept having him run away and stuff. He also could have easily defeated Obi-Wan, but I guess the screenwriters to didn't feel like keeping Grievous in the movies any longer, even though he would've made a great character in the rest of the Star Wars storline.

well really...although Grievous would have put up a MUCH better fight... Obi-Wan would have still won. His style is the perfect counter to Greivous' technique. They should have made him more like the clone wars grievous.

the reason why they couldn't keep Grievous longer in the movie was apparently because the LAZY-BUTT choreographers were to lazy to make a longer 5-lightsabre duel. it coulda even been 6 lightsabres for grievous' foot. and General grievous could'a defeated obi-wan had it not been for Mase Windu crushing his organs, therefore weakening the general in the clonewars
