  • @deanthompson88 ive read everywhere zuuchini, and im like what the hell, no idea what it was ;)

  • does the zucchini have to be cold or warm?

  • Nice but can smaller fishes like platies and sword tails eat it too?

  • the close up made every fish look like huge fish wow

  • Why Wont my Plecco eat like that! I left it in there for 2 days! And he wont eat it! He never eats nothin! I dont know how he is still alive!

  • this is such a great video! thanks for sharing : )

  • frozen peas are a favourite in my tank

  • lol i like it when that black molly came and started trying to scare the clown loach.

  • Sweet Video. Love the Pleco doing the hang man!

  • Are you sure this is a pleco, i have had my gold spot pleco for 6 months and its three times the size of the one in your tank, and if your saying it is 5 years old, then it should be around 10 inches or more???

  • @sg1rules You see Plecos at the Zoo, they are huge...

They grow with the size of your tank, so if your tank is small, they stay small, if your tank is big, they grow bigger...

  • I heard from a m8 that zuchini bloats them so be carefull only feed them cucumber

  • If I put in vegetables will it hurt my other fish...I have 2 Orgami's, 1 Tiger Barb, 1 Silver Dollar fish and the Pleco...

  • My Pleco's like, two inches long...LOL, And like a couple centimeters fat.

  • I Only have a REALLLLY tiny pleco, So I only should give him A little less the a small quater of Zuchini?

  • @CpWiser10 feed him cucumber dude not zuchini u will kill it

  • lmao YUMYUMYUMYUMYUM!!!!!!!!

  • is that zuchini or cucumber? it looks like a cuke

  • i have a 10 with a rubber lip is that okay ;P

  • My pleco is like 3 inch long, i just got it, should i try to feed it Zuchini, and will the Zuchini Infect the water?

  • Im not sure if i shuld feed mine Zuchini yet its only 4 inches and there is other fish such as barbs, danios, and tetras should i feed it, and is it okay?

  • i just take some aquarium gravel and then i put it in where the pleco wont eat.. the hard sides left and right works perfectly:) i did that in my video on my channel check it out if u want.. and then u can answer a question that i have maby? i wanna know if its a male or a female couse i want to find a partner so i can put it in the tank and then they can breed.. i bought it a year ago and then i noticed it doesnt get big.. i noticed ancsitrus doesnt grow big only plecos.. plz replay and comment

  • @TheFishKeeper100 typicaly it's hard to sex plecos. also near impossible (but not) to breed them in a home aquarium.

  • if you cook it it will sink ;)

  • yes, they love zucchini or cucumber. i find cucumber makes the water cloudy, but variety is good.

  • hahaha, he stuck onto it and it still floats, what a cutie ^^

  • Hey i do the same thing but my goldfish eat it and get the strain's all over the tank? Should i cut that part out or not ?

  • put your penis in there it will feel really good!! trust me

  • @oflamemakero u are fucked up

  • if u have plastic chopsticks stab it through the zuchini/cucumber and just let the chopstick go it will just sink to the bottom

  • i enjoy dos thigs

  • is that a betta?

  • hes like come down with me biitch lol

  • You should blanch it first so it sinks and it'll be easier for your fishes to eat it.

  • I slice up zuchinni. Freeze it in a ziploc bag. Then I take a piece out when I want it and put it in a cup of water and nuke for 60 seconds. It will sink right to the bottom and makes for much easier eating. My pleco goes crazy for it.

  • @chuzziii wat do u mean nuke it??

  • @jawsflounderace micorwave

  • @jawsflounderace they mean cook it in a microwave "nuke it". blanching is the best method.

  • @chuzziii microwaves kill alot of the enzymes and nutrients, be MUCH better to boil the water

  • @inTOXICATEDx2 Good to know. Thanks!

  • Its prob also worth mentioning that clown loach also love cucumber as my gang of 7 fend off the plecs for it

  • how come my mine doesnt it hes always un active its been 2 days since i baught he wont eat a zuchini(cucumber) and a algae disc he doesnt even notice that thjeres a algae disc i baught 2! they are little

  • yours even. wow i can spell tonight.

  • Wow youre are smarter than mine. I had to find a way to get my zucchini to sink to the bottom or my fish wouldn't know what to do with it.

  • Mine was kinda "not smart enough" to find out what to do with a zuchini floating on the surface. Until I've put a stainless steel spoon or fork into the zuchini to sink this. Now he knows what to do:)

  • Isnt this also a good way to trap snails?

  • is zukini a cucumber?

  • It looks kinda like a cucumber, but it's a kind of squash. :)

  • i once putted this small ball in the tank and floated at the top. then my pelco would stick on it.

  • Algaae Waffers are nice, but there is more to a Plecos diet.

  • I have never seen a pleco do that ever befor although i don't feed mine floating food he would never do that

  • Only my log : ) And 1 month has past and its still alive :)

  • get a veggie clip with the suction cups, makes it easier for them.

  • duuuude my pleco is the oposite it moves around in daytime and sleeps at night. thats not normal but i guess its a plus for me :) alsoo i tried feeding my pleco. Zuchini,Cucumber,Carrots EVEN ALGAE TABLETS and it doesnt eat. the onlything it does eat or suck on is my huge log in the middle of my tank. also i dont have

CO2 for my log . what are the consequences for not having CO2 in your tank ?

  • mine too

  • haha it only sucks your huge log?

  • ruber band it to a piece of slate...it will make for more confortable eating.

  • where do you get your plecos?

  • i just got a pleco too.. and it does not move around when its daytime plus when i turn on the lights.. it stays at one spot mostly..and there dont seem to be much algae in my aqua... it only moves around at night when i turn off the light.. and i tried giving cucumber but it didnt eat.. so plss anybodyy.

  • plecos come out when it is darker. i have about 30 plecos in my tank. my plecos eat zuchini and cucumber. try to stick something to it so it will sink

  • buy bottom feeder cube things. my pleco loves it,.

  • try algae wafers mine likes em but same as your only moves at night

  • my pleco is super shy and only comes out when its dark. any suggestions on changing this?

  • You can't change Nature, Plecos are Nocturnal. If you Provie more wood and Plants for him to hide in, he may feel more secure and come out more though.

  • they rely like cucumber to

  • do u ave to boil the cucumber before you put it in the tank??

  • hey does any one know how big a small comon pleco gets!

  • buzzbuggie:

there is no such thing as a SMALL common pleco. a common pleco will grow very large!!!

If your looking for a small pleco, get a bristlenose(thats the one in the video) or a oto catfish which grows to about 5 cm

  • Clown plecos stay pretty small too, and have good color

  • bout 18" in at least 4ft tank

  • A common pleco gets pretty darn big. They can range from 1 foot - 2 feet in length.

  • They can grow to about 2 ft in a couple years.

  • also clown plecos stay small

  • pleco: get the hell away from me it my zucchini lol

  • haha nice great vid

  • LOL at 0:27 Just hogs that thing like a FATTY XD

  • I have two P Pardalis who love courgette ( zuc) but will not chase it round their tank, i have to weigh it down with a screwcumber lol.

  • I got a bristlenose yesterday, How big to they get?

  • About four inches. I just got one a few weeks ago too and it has been a pretty cool addition to the tank :)

  • lol funny vid i use a fork to hold my zucc down...quality vid though nice one..

  • ya, this is all i feed my baby bristlenose plecos. besides whatever else they find in the tank. and my guppies go nuts for it too. I can to give a new slice about every other day for my 5 babies at this time.... They love!!! it

  • lol! funny how the plec hogs the food!

  • i have to sink my cucumber/zuchini cus my plec gets pissed at the fact i moves around too much while hes eating and he just leaves it then.

  • pleco are so cute! look at him!

  • is it hard to keep loaches?

  • Not when you know what your doing. They are happiest in groups so make sure you have a tank big enough for at least a pair

  • I can tell you, they love it!

  • what means zuchinni in malay

  • Zucchini is a type of squash. It is long like a cucumber, but plump, like a squash.

  • very nice fish!

    mine touched the stuff.

that is untill I tried adding garlic powder, the smell attracts them and now they like it.

they also like boiled peas even better.

  • wow lovely choice of fish!

  • My pleco is VERY shy...but when he DOES come out, its cause of the zucchini ! and he loves cucumber too. Hehe.

  • You could weigh it down with a teaspoon, works perfectly and for the fisch it's much easier to eat from the zuchini

  • Thats a good idea, will have to steal one from the kitchen hehe

  • My fish also love cucumber served like this.

  • you can just poil it or hold it down with a toothpick.

  • @gooded01 I used actual fishing weights, cuz it looks cooler I think. More in theme with fish than a spoon lol.

I have a long string with a loop in it, and I poke a whole through the zuchini... My plecos also LOVE spinach. They go crazy when I drop it in there.

  • @gooded01

you can also cook it as it would sink

  • @gooded01 hi im moving in about a week and i have an 7 inch pleco which as never been caught or moved from my tank and i want to know how to properly catch him and what should i put him in during the process of setting up the tank, i have no other smaller tanks so what should i do?

  • @fitbikerider459 We have a 19 year old 15 inch and a 2 year old 7 inch pleco, and I have to catch them with my hands after empying a lot of water from our 33.5 gallon tank...

But you could always use a cup, DO NOT use a net, it will get caught...

And we place all of our fish into a clean bucket with old tank water, and put our air stone is in, and a cookie sheet on top so they don't flip out... :)

  • i have a 55 gallon tank, there is an oscar, blue crawdad, pike (baby its temporay) brown knife and a clown knife. i had a pleco this mourning that died in the tank it is my 2nd one and they were both 'bloated' what should i do please help.

  • hi.. plecos love driftwood.. they love sitting/hiding on it.. do you have any in there? also are you sure your oscars arent attacking the plecos when you are not around.. ?

  • yes i have 2 large peices of wood in there. we have never witnessed the oscar attack it.

the crawdad attacks it and that is about it. we need a fish that eats algae.

  • well i just bought a few hemiloricaria spp., and my tanks are pretty clean, so i need some good veggie food to replace algae in their diet. i use hikari algae wafers, but this is another great option.

    thanks for posting.

  • hi ya, Q:how old is ur pleco?

  • these now are at least 5 years old.. still quite small but doing well

  • thanks for the idea will give it a try see if my one likes it :)

  • my fish wont even go towards it wats rong with him??

  • Give it 2 days in ur tank.. sometimes can take a while before they get eating.. also as a test try feeding ur fish less so they get a little hungry and look to see what else they can eat.. ie zuchini!! what fish do u have?
