  • Is that thing straight piped?

    It sounds nice.

Whats better though is that it goes nice (and fast) too! I like it.

  • Thanks!

Yeah, those were Hooker Super Comp headers, they dumped out the fenderwell right behind the front tires. That 383 is gone now, I've got a 402 small block in the Jeep now. Haven't raced it yet, going to be doing some suspension mods over the winter. We're hoping to beat those 6.2s from that season by far... :)

  • very nice i just put a 383 in my s10 what are you running in that thing?

    im running

    manley rods

    full float short skirt pisons

    almuminum port pollished heads

    a very lumpy compistion cam

    compistion puch rods

    roller lifters

    scorpion roller rockers

    edelbrock intake / 80mm 4 barrel carb

  • That motor had a steel crank, forged rods, domed pistons near 13:1 compression, Comp cam with .560 lift, 256 dur. @ .050, aluminum roller rockers, Dart heads. Edelbrock high rise intake, and a holley 780 race carb. I've sold that motor, now I'm building a 400 with a forged bottom end, 6" rods, ported Dart 230 heads, with the same intake. I'm still working on the cam.

  • nice truck man,

    That jeep hauls

  • Thanks, I appreciate that. It's been a work in progress for quite a while. It should be going under the wrench again sometime in the near future.
