Mass Effect: Bring Down the Sky- Saving Kate 1/2

I usually play hardcore Paragon in Mass Effect, but this was the hardest paragon choice I had to make. After seeing what Balak and his men did to those miners and Kate's brother I wanted to nothing more than fill the bastard's body with my bullets.

On the other hand, I couldn't allow Kate and the survivors to die, especially after Kate risked everything to give Shepard the information about the torches.

I've tried the other ending, but knowing i let Kate die left a real sour taste in my mouth

@Syryu This was my only renegade choice I made in Mass Effect 1 that was large , I do regret leaving Kate to die but hell it was worth it in my mine as I beat Balak down and left him for the Alliance interogators.

I let him go, why you ask? If you kill him he says he's working for someone, so he's just a piece in a bigger game, if he dies he'll just be replaced with someone even worse. The batarians do generally hate the human race so it's pretty stupid to think this guy and his team are alone.

I like the Batarians, from the one mission we get to fight them, they're an interesting race who have alot of terrorists who despise humanity for stealing their planet. I can't wait to see more of them in ME2.

Beh, the Batarians are the pansies here. They're all talk and no bite. Even if this is somewhat supposed to be a parallel to the Gaza crisis (it really is if you think about it), it makes perfect sense why the humans are more powerful.

Amen brother! That's one of the reasons this game is one of my all time favorites now because there's not a single bad actor in the cast. They bring so much life to these characters even if they aren't important to the central plot. It feels like a real world.
