mines kill all of yours pcs mine has 4X Quad core processors 2 X nvidia 9800 gb both 1gb each and also dual boot windows vista ultimate 32 and 64 and also 12 gb ram
4 Quad core processors, damn man. You must need like a 2 KW (Kilo-Watt) PSU or some shit. Two Nvidia 9800's is overkill. Why the hell do you need both 32 bit and 64 bit ultimate? You fucking retard, if you have a 64 bit system then go with the 64 bit OS. 12 GBs of ram, LOL. Not even the big movie producers with loads of CGI effects use that much yet.
may be cuz we import. but we import form singapore or taiwan, if it was from usa price will be more high. i mean ive seen a 750$ laptop here is like 137000 almost like 1400$
im telling the prices in the market no in a specific place.
you're forgetting the MOST important thing which is a VIDEO CARD , without a great video card , that core 2 quad is powerless. so add in 200 bucks , and i gurantee i could build a system with close to as much ammount of potential for , WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY less than 1000 , try 500.

"a basic quad system" you fucking tool... , there is no basic QUAD SYSTEM. why would you have a quad cpu for NOT GAMING , you fucking idiot. I know a lot more than you do about computers. GG. LULZ.
a lot of major companies use quad cores for managing text documents that could be up to hundreds of mega bytes. also not many games support quad core processors right now.
yes and no. i do a lot of video editing on my comp, but also a lot of gaming as well. it blows a standard processor out of the water on all fronts. especially in high end games. and you are right, multi tasking is a cinch.
If you were to buy that setup today, it would be much cheaper. Last week I just bought 4GB of Corsair XMS2 RAM for $58 (sale) from CompUSA, which has amazing prices now that tigerdirect bought them. Will also buy the Q9300 or the 9450 in a little bit.
most good cases have all the front panel wires in 1 plug rather than seperate leads , then again this is " building on a budget" so the case is bound to have shitty wires everywhere i suppose
guys, it's no use fighting over trivial things like front panel connectors. stop acting like babies. anyway, it's up to the builder if he/she wants to use the front panel connectors.
although in my opinion, front panel connectors make computing a little easier, no reaching in the back of the pc to connect somthing. although most of the computer's connection ports are always in the back.
hmn, wouldn't it be nice if motherboard manufacturers actually shipped a 5.25" front panel? hmmn
how much thermal paste do you use one a quad core cpu,i want to build my own and don't want to fry mine, looked like you put some on the cooler as well
u only need a drop and if u dont know already intel always run cooler than amd but as long and u put a good amount like a drop in the middle then just put the heatsink on top and let it spread by the heatsink and when the paste is heated it will spread more 2 or u can take a liitle more that a drop and spread it. it should be good 2 but thats not that important as the heatsink u use u should get the zalman heatsink or the coolermaster gemini.
lmao!@..i was wondering...i was going through the cost list thinking, "now, with no graphics card..why in the fuck would he need a quad core to begin with?"
keep on lauging. your ignorance is really accented with remarks like that. why dont you make your age any more obvious? off the top of my head, quad cores are excellent for their pure raw processing power, which make them excellent in environments where all you want is processing power of CPUS, ie, who cares about your videocards. think of cluster computers, virtualization & multitasking. that should be a start for you. while you can overclock your older processors, they cant grow new ones
my ignorance? im not the one arguing on the internet like a fucking twit. and newsflash computer dork: A FUCKING COMPUTER WITHOUT A VIDEO CARD FOR HOME APPLICATIONS IS POINTLESS. so how about you just ya know..take a look around..read some of the other comments, and dont call people ignorant when you dont know your own ass from a hole in the ground, fuckstain.
