Amen. Thas's so important. I've struggled with it too and still yearn for a holy life.
There is a very similar passage:
1. Peter 1:14-16
Two others tell us about how to deal with sin
Galatians 5:16-26
Romans 8:12-13
So we are only able to be consecrated if we wholly trust in Jesus and let the holy spirit reign in us. Then we do what is right in Gods sight and please Him. So we need to be as close as possible to God and avoid commiting to any sin.
