@lizardboy2012 I think you mean, "Dorcus Titanus Castanicolor". And yes. It's the only D.titanus subspecies I can legally own(foreign insects are banned here). That's also why we don't have any lizard/frog food that aren't crickets or mealworms/superworms. Btw, ssp. Castanicolor is found in Tsushima Island(Japan) as well(쓰시마/대마도).
Even more fun how they change their colors as they harden. First they're white, then cream, then orange, dark orange, purplish, and then, depending on the individual, either reddish or blackish.
Is the stag beetle pupae a dorcus castanicolor?
