this was a sunderland version of Middlesbrough's club Havana, never quite made the grade i thought. But still had a couple of good nights there. The mackems who knew the score, went to Havana! ;)

It never burnt down it was closed because the police raided it and the owner was sent to prison

The Blue Monkey was never called Bourbon Street, Bourbon Street opened just before the monkey closed, I promoted and Dj'd the first rave nights in Bourbon Street we had Adrian on the decks a few times and the owners of also bought a club in coventry called the colosseum, not to be confused with the colosseum in stockton which was very popular mainly with the happy hardcore crowd. Bouron street was situated in fawcett street above the pub pilgrim and what used to be the old electricity shop(neeb)

the tape av got frm there is amazing,, dj dave-dj excel - dj adrian street,, theres tunes on the tape that av never heard anywhere else,, even on loads of afterdark, blue monkey , u name it,, if only i new a way of gettin cassette tapes onto the computer lol r well.. cheers pal

if u want to get audio from a tape onto ur pc its easy...js get a walkman then get a 3.5mm jack to 3.5mm jack cable (headphone ends) then plug the it into the mic input on your pc...open windows movie maker and click on naration the record it....easy
