There was no reason for this to happen. They do their sound checks and rehearsal prior to the actual event. Someone is definitely behind this as they were when his intro curtain didn't drop while on tour. Obviously they want to make David look amateur and I would not doubt if it came from the Idol camp. They can't accept the fact that David is a zillion times better than all of their selected idols so they try to sabotage his performance in public to make the public doubt. Sorry, won't happen.

I heard there were several technical problems that night.. not just with David's performance. I really don't think there's any conspiracy here, and David handled the situation just fine. :)

i agree with the comments that this is the cmas equivalent of Zero Gravity. David brings an energy to his performances that is engaging. He has the ability to pull you in. Many performers can perform a song well, but David not only sings almost technically perfect each and every time, but his stage presence makes it personal,as though you are a part of it. David Archuleta is simply the best talent to come around in a long time. Go ahead and smile, David. We are smiling with you.

With most singers, it's "enough" just to hear them sing. Not so with David. He is a force of nature, and offers so much more than his voice. Just go to one of his concerts and you'll see what I mean. In the '60s, we had "love-ins". Now we have "David-ins". This video is just a taste of what it's like. Great music performed flawlessly by the best guy in th world.
