Like I said, original OS doesn´t matter.............

But, try Win7, not Vista, Windows 7 is somewhat faster.

Have you tried Windows Update? I remember getting all of the missing drivers with the optional updates.

For the wifi search WLAN_Atheros_v7.6.0.224 on google.

hey where did you download the ethernet and wi-fi drivers from? i've tried so many drivers but none of them work :( i'm using the 32-bit vista ultimate.

It seems to be running at the native Resolution, 1024x600, how did you achieve this? My mate has an Acer One and I think He's still running Vista at the wrong ratio (I think 800x600).

I have upgraded mine to have 1.5GB of RAM (don´t ask how, but you have to *dismantle* your whole laptop to do that! There´s a video on how to do it here on youtube if you search for it) and hope that Vista will run well on it - I hate XP!

scratch what i wrote above, i found the driver but i can't get the ethernet plug to work without saying "limited or no connectivity". How did you get yours to work?

Yeah i used the same drivers, maybe your security is not Alright?..

Check the type on the router [WPA, Wpa2, etc], or change between that type or security to see if it works.

I install Vista Ultimate and do a Windows Update, nothing more and work fine.

Does it work with the Aero effects (like the opaque windows) ok also?

Yes, the Aero Effects works nice, need the Intel Driver of the 945GM graphic chipset.

Yes, i only install the wireless and graphic ones [intel website for the 945GM graphics card and search for WLAN_Atheros_v7.6.0.224 for the wireless driver], then do a Windows Update and everything is working.
