I was disappointed but then I realized just how much I love them no matter what they make great music and always have. I remember when this douchebag and his band opened up for U2 in North America during 2005.Caleb could learn something from Bono the ultimate professional who has never once pulled a stunt like this.
Less than a month ago(July 20th) U2 were played The New Meadowlands Stadium in New Jersey;Bono looked like he was sick or overcome with heat exhaustion..he said he felt "faint" and almost passed out. Bono went off the stage once or twice for a minute but came right back and finished the show!
The modern day Georgia Satellites. I saw KOL in 2006 for free and they were horrid. The only thing I can say positive about KOL is that they took The Whigs on tour with them for years, all around the world. I would have left after The Whigs, who are infinitely better live band.

I was there. Caleb was awesome. But about 1/2 way through their gig, his voice started to deteriorate. Also the heat started to get to him. It was 96+ degrees out there in the audience. On stage it must have been 110 degrees, at least. I feel for the guy and his brothers. I hope Caleb gets well soon. Doctors ordered him to not sing for a month so his voice can get better.

@andrewkoole okkervil River sucked live, they were an absolute bore, I couldn't stand them, Saw spoon as well at 80/35 music festival and they weren't great either, just good. Yo La Tengo is a good band for sure. Also saw Band of horses in Des Moines Iowa and they were definitley spectacular, I would definitley consider the ones you named in the Rock Genre, or Alt. Rock. KOL isn't so amazing, just because they've gotten big enough to fill a stadium, that doesn't determine how great a band is

I absolutely love Kings of Leon, seriously I was there at the concert and personally I had a lot of hopes and illusions on how the concert would play out, but didn't. I was disappointed but then I realized just how much I love them no matter what they make great music and always have. So I think whoever goes back to see them again in Dallas is a TRUE fan, otherwise you dont know how to appreciate good music...also Jared is not that bad looking so it helps haha. But otherwise love them always! <3

So sad! Saw them Portland '07: no pretentions...just ROCK ! We saw them again '09 and they were already into all the trappings of going commercial and the sweaty southern rock audience had been replaced by an definitive yuppy audience who shreaked every lyric: Jared said in an interview on FUSE that they hadn't sold-out & they just used to suck. Since then the music is crap and I'm embarrassed to wear my KOL Tees. Get some rehab...appreciate those who were always there and get back on track!

I can see both sides of this argument. I was gonna go to this show, but glad i didn't. I"m a big KOL fan, but to see this, is sad. Meat loaf passed out 2 times in one week, and KEPT playing. So, even though he lost his voice, at least refund the freakin tickets. Their reputation won't be the same. I hope Caleb Followill can overcome this, they are a great band

I remember when this douchebag and his band opened up for U2 in North America during 2005.Caleb could learn something from Bono the ultimate professional who has never once pulled a stunt like this.
Less than a month ago(July 20th) U2 were played The New Meadowlands Stadium in New Jersey;Bono looked like he was sick or overcome with heat exhaustion..he said he felt "faint" and almost passed out. Bono went off the stage once or twice for a minute but came right back and finished the show!

I was there. Caleb was awesome. But about 1/2 way through their gig, his voice started to deteriorate. Also the heat started to get to him. It was 96+ degrees out there in the audience. On stage it must have been 110 degrees, at least. I feel for the guy and his brothers. I hope Caleb gets well soon. Doctors ordered him to not sing for a month so his voice can get better.

@andrewkoole okkervil River sucked live, they were an absolute bore, I couldn't stand them, Saw spoon as well at 80/35 music festival and they weren't great either, just good. Yo La Tengo is a good band for sure. Also saw Band of horses in Des Moines Iowa and they were definitley spectacular, I would definitley consider the ones you named in the Rock Genre, or Alt. Rock. KOL isn't so amazing, just because they've gotten big enough to fill a stadium, that doesn't determine how great a band is
