Good lap.

As others say, had you been smoother on the brakes you would have been even faster. Also let the car roll a bit more, use the gas to get the extra grip you need.

brakes are way too strong, they have like double the stopping power they should.

As well for that speed/laptime, that car would have to have at least 500hp, yet the rear end is only as happy as a car with 200hp.

@KingLiddicote The AI was excellent in all four games, I honestly don't understand what people mean when they say the AI in Gran Turismo games is "bad."

I used a Logitech Driving force Pro, about seven years old, I could only manage 1:39.102. TC is set to 0 and I use manual gearbox, no driving line assist. Yet with the PS3 controller I managed to set 1:38.197. The problem with the wheel is that is is just not accurate and I have noticed the fast times being set, drivers can brake 50meters later than I can. If I can get a good lap in with the wheel, prably set a time of a high 1:37.

I love watching this as ive done so many laps now that it's interesting to see how other people drive the track. And to the OP, the demo doesnt turn TCS off when you connect a wheel, try accelerating hard when on gravel or turning and you will see the red TCS bar limit your power. Im using the driving force GT

Salut! Voilà une très bonne idée mais j'ai réellement besoin d'un volant pour améliorer mes trajectoires. J'en achèterai surement un à la sortie de GT5 quand j'aurai plus d'argent à dépenser mais pour l'instant, je reste à admirer ceux qui font des 1m37, 36 ou 35!

Sinon pour parler du circuit, j'ai remarqué qu'il n'y avait aucune pénalité à court-circuiter complètement le premier virage! Une piste...

R u using HDMI? u might have to enable HDMI audio on your screen. I have a benQ monitor n i had to go into menu & audio options n change it from PC audio to HDMI audio... hope that helps.

Thank you, just download the replaysof the fastest players and play against them, get a Driving Force Pro of a G25/G27 and you will drive faster.

G25, and the TCS is off becuase the demo turns off all the assists when you conect a wheel.

Very very nice lap! Just one tip, at the little chicane before the right hander that goes onto the straight, you really need to square up that last tight bend before exiting. You get ALOT more exit speed. I did it the same as you first, but after this I managed to gain at least 0.2sec. By the end of that little straight youre in 4th for a bit.

The environmental graphics are bad and for some reason I don't feel like even graphics are treated with respect in this demo lol. I'm saying like, Prologue has better environments. So I guess it's all about the physics, which are better than prologue honestly.

This is just a physics demo right ?, it doesn't represent the visual quality of the current product and certainly not the final product. The E3 demo's showed off the visuals more than this. I'm guessing they took out certain textures to make it a small file size, since it's only 200mb.

Polyphony Digital compressed the graphics for Gran Turismo 5 Time Trial Challenge. This was just a "demo" to show off the new physics engine. That's the demo is 200mb. The actual game will have way better graphics.

@ssolitare The reason the environmental graphics are "bad" is because this in no way represents the final product visually. Everything was watered down in order to achieve the 200-megabyte file size.
