The two state solution is time sensitive. The Israelis can't hold this territory believed to belongs to them undeveloped indefinitely. Settlements will continue in the West Bank while Palestinian will continue to rule themselves area A and B until a one state solution can be realized. In a one state solution Jewish majority is a very trick issue which will prevent the immediate citizenship of Palestinian Arabs. I hope there is a way to resolve this peacefully.

Yes, Helen Thomas is an ass. I've studied Afghan history. I speak Persian and Pashto. Your conflation of the mujahideen of the 1980s with the Taliban and al Qaeda terrorists of today is largely inaccurate. Very few of those who fought the Soviets are still alive today (check life expectancy rates in the country). Moreover, the Taliban are a more recent creation, the product of the Afghan Civil War of the 1990s and concomitant instability and chaos. Al-Qaeda, as we know it, is more recent, too.
