Its about time somebody made some worthwhile music on this thing. Its a really awesome concept. But everybody just likes to make a huge mess of noise with them.

I guess our Technological world just do need new instruments, a new kind of music.
I'm quite open-minded, so I feel very interested in the Reactable, I see it really has lots of possibilities and I'm desiring to start listening its sounds more often. The Reactablers must have lot of concentration and of course a very accurate hability to manage with this instrument, I'm impressed!

I think Drum and bass and it's subbranches are the kinds of music that matches the Reactable the best, like Dubstep, Darkstep, Liquid funk dnb, etc.
Listen to a song Jahova by Rusko, and you'll get a clearer picture of what I'm talking about.
It's not the most melodic song I know, but it's funny. =P

I just found about the Reactable like 10 minutes ago and all I've been thinking about is how to use it for D&B, Dubstep etc... Man, I want to build one of these.

tell me, did you build in PD with TUIO and such, or is this a midi patch in a sequencer like ableton?! also what is the graphic engine you are using?

I'm using the Max/MSP TUIO translator to interpret the reactivision TUIO messages (and split the TUIO signal out to the graphics engine) and then I'm generating audio there and sending MIDI data out to Ableton as well.
The visual feedback graphic engine was written from scratch in C#/DirectX. This piece is still currently in progress...
