There is cellophane over a hole that mimics glass and is hard to distinguish in the dark, when he returns the watch a plate glass is slid over the whole. Notice no one touches the spot where he reached through. You can see on You-tube the same effect achieved by ChrisAngel walking his whole body through a store glass pane.

absolutely nothing happens. It was used for misdirection. he used almost identical cards to confuse the lady... but yeah, nothing happens... he just wanted to touch her wrist and steal her watch.
