I just had to share with you how you've touched my spirit. I first came upon your version of Yusef's "Love Theme From Spartacus" (my spiritual soundtrack. :-)), while perusing our mutual friend's albums. I was floored! No other rendition of this song has ever touched me in this manner. Not only did you capture his beauty in your tribute, but you've made it your own. I just had to share it with others. Yusef Lateef's "Love Theme From Spartacus" has always been the song of my spirit. No other version of this song has ever compared to his mastery. Until I heard this version by Anna Fisher. In her rendition of this song, Ms. Fisher's oboe weaves you through with indelible grace and beauty. A haunting tribute.
