Oh, ha, just looked through the comments. Other then front bumpers, (unimportant part) are there any other issues? And is it possible to run any 1/10 motor or esc's on this car without burning them up!!!? Because I will only have like 150 to spend on motors and esc's aftter I purchase this car. (only 13!)
@JustinHuitema Besides bumpers we had some minor issues with hardware loosening up that were easily kept in check by simply looking over the truck before we set it on the track. We were loosing one wheel nut a day on the track no matter what we did . lol
The esc motor combo we are running here is a Novak HV 4.5 motor and a Mamba Max Pro ESC. The motor we burned up before we got the novak unit was a 4600kv castle motor. After that we had no issues with our electronics.
@wweeaaawwee I would also check out Castles new Short Course Edition combo. It looks like the same ESC and a beefier motor that is on par with the novak 4.5.
@wweeaaawwee Ok, I am going to save up money to buy the Novak HV 4.5 SC Ballistic and esc after thorough research. What are your motor temps? I just sold my slash on ebay, and will be buying this car within a few days! I am buying extra f/r a arms and traxxas rod ends, but would you reccomend me buying anything else? (I got the bumper covered)

@JustinHuitema I wouldn't get too caught up on stock piling parts. I know its handy to sometimes have the spare right there when you need it. Just save a little cash so when something does brake you can go to your LHS and buy it.
The motor temps were so low that we just stopped monitoring them. It was not an issue. I would look around on the forums too to see what people are running because my setup is a year old now so there is probably something newer and better out there now.
The sidewinder 3800 SCT combo would do good in terms of temps, but I want some good speed and torque, acceloration. Are you satisfied with running a 2s also
Hi, awesome vid. I wanted to ask, in the SCRT10, does your motor over heat to the point where you would recommend buying a different one, or is it manageable, also are you having any issues with your car, ie parts that need to be replaced immediately. I am going to be purchasing this car (rtr) and I actually race here at OCRC! So any help
@JustinHuitema We actually turned a castle 4600kv motor into a paperweight in this truck and with that motor it pused the esc pretty hard as well. After switching the motor the truck ran great.
I no that this has a mettal spur gear but do you ever have problems with them stripping or any things like that? Im tired of always having to replace my spurs on my slash 4x4 cuz of the little rocks that get in there and ess it up.
@SizeMatterss1 The jammin has proven to be very durable. The only thing that we kept breaking was the front bumper. The Jammin actually comes with a plastic spur gear that has proven to be very durable too.
@jaco1486 In its current configuration it was going about 30mph (50kmh). With a 3s lipo pack it is much faster.
The problem is that if you have 1/10 scale electronics you will really have to stress them to get allot of speed and power out of it. We eventually burned up the 5700kv motor and replaced it with a beefier novak unit.
If your quest is for speed the best solution would be to get a 1/8 scale electronics setup like a mamba monster max combo.

@PROJ3KTJ30 Temps were a non issue. Run times were about 20 minutes using batteries from hobbyking.

Yeah a little more tweaking and some better tires might help to.
