What's wrong with Lin Corp.'s "News 8 - Nighmare on Elm St."?
Can't be the sat trucks, camera operators, salespeople, tracking department, creative services, engineering, producers, newscasters, anchors and weather people. They fired most of them. Take the most valuable assets and let them go. What a concept. Lin Corp. is the quintessential example of "what not to do" with a local News Station. No Company has done so little with so much. They deserve a "Crammy" award.
This is a lovely tribute to our favorite weatherman. Cannot believe he's gone from our homes! Our family all agreed and we blocked WTNH channel 8 on our cable box. It's like there IS no channel 8 anymore. That's fine with us. Since Geoff isn't there, no point in having a channel 8. Hope some lucky station snaps him up and I selfishly hope it's here in CT...
A cheerful voice in a sea of bad news on the air. Geoff is serious about the weather and heck, he even admits when he gets a forecast wrong (and it isn't often). Certainly the ownership of WTNH can do what they want, but not renewing Geoff's contract is a seriously bad move.
Geoff is a weather GOD forget about just a man, he is also a Connecticut ICON and I truly hope we can get WTNH and LIN to change their minds about renewing his contract. I have been watching Geoff since I was 6 years old....Geoff don't go to bed yet we aren't done. Love you Geoff and thank you Cafemoni for this video.
That's the problem, he thought he was the weather GOD! Geoff needed to move on - possibly teach the weather to future prospective weather broadcasters. But, I felt he didn't get to the point on the forecasts and treated the audience like they were listening to a college lecture class on weather. I used to roll my eyes when he came on. I think he'd make a good teacher though but he tends to get on your nerves. I'm surprised he didn't get let go much sooner.

Go to the "Keep Geoff Fox on Channel 8" facebook page to voice your displeasure about WTNH's decision not to renew his contract.
