This is definitely a Marimba, but xylophones are also typically made of wood or some type of synthetic wood and are never made with metal. Vibraphones and orchestral bells are made of metal.

You are right. "The xylophone was originally modeled after an African instrument and its name is Greek, meaning "wood sound".
By the way, I actually played vibes for a short while in a jazz class in college.

A xylophone? The instrument was made of wood. That's why I thought it was a marimba. Xylophones are usually metal.

It is a marimba. A marimba is a deep lower octave Xylophone.
