I bought the 360 guide because at that time SE was keeping their mouth shut on wheather a PS3 ver. would happen or not :) you can read wikipedia about it

The main reason why there's 3 discs is that on disc 2 and 3, there are 2 INSANELY huge dungeons,

It wouldn't really matter if the discs are stacked. The discs are stacked tightly so that they don't spin and scratch. I was afraid they would scratch, that's probably why I bought Lost Odyssey New instead of Used. You should be fine.

I was surprised SO4's disc slot was thick enough to hold all 3 unscratched, I wasn't too dissapointed, the game is great, combat in particular as expected coming from SO3

I think i am going to get this game after seeing it on a podcast earlier today it looks real good, but i have never gotten into star ocean series.

I absolutely hate when discs are stacked in this manner. What's interesting is that this type of ghetto packaging appears reserved for North American distribution (possibly other regions too). The Japanese versions of this title, Lost Odyssey, Blue Dragon and others, are packaged within DVD cases which accommodate the number of discs correctly.
