  • hawk it baby

  • as to what are the 5 grape varieties of Champagne here you go:

Pinot Noir, Charodnnay, Pinot Meniuer, Petit Meslier and Pinot Blanc

  • plus in some places you are allowed to blend red and white to get a rose - not in france though...

  • a) in fact there are 5 grapes allowed in Champagne region.

    b) Prosecco is made using the CHARMAT method! not the champagne method!

the "peel" is refered to in english as skins!

  • Read below: The reason Champange often is white is because they pick out the "peel" (I don't know if that's the english word) before the fermentation. In rosé they just leave it in there for an amount of time.

And ZENTYS: Fine Italian sparkling wine, Prosecco, is made in the same way as Champange but with less strict rules and more grapes allowed. Prosseco is most of the times made by the methode de champenoise...

  • Great video, but I have a complaint. You say that Rosé is a white wine in wich they added some red wine. This is a way of making rosé, but it's uncommon and not allowed in the Champange-region or in the methode de champenoise. When making Champange there's only 3 grapes allowed; Pinot noir, Chardonnay and Pinot meunier. One of them is a green grape, chardonnay, and the other two is blue.

  • cool

  • You are a gem. You have great delivery and you know what you're talking about. I am a fan!

  • heather, I just made a video about the history of champagne, could you let me know if I'm historically accurate or not? I don't know if I trust my source.

  • what a useful video!

  • yay! thanks so much.

  • I adore the Zefiro Prosecco...I bought it too often, I think! :D

  • Obviously Italian wines are the best!"Champagne" is poison. If you see how the "Champagne" is made, you will never drink it,anymore!Bye.
