I prefer gt5 the latest version gave it new life and it's amazing the sound quality is great on surround sound and the games looks like I'm watching a real life video, I played forza on a similar setup and I liked it cuz it felt familiar to gt5 almost too familiar I can't really say gt5 is better because I couldn't really find a difference even though forza is newer. Except the graphics being to me better in gt5

I used to love GT games, but after playing Forza, GT5 is like playing in slow motion, with bad sound quality, Forza when you race a car that is tuned, YOU MOVE and YOU CAN TURN, i have been in some of the cars, according to GT5 these cars once they hit 88 mph your going to see some serious disappointment, ontop of the fact when your using a 442 v8 tuned up, in Forza it sounds like a monster as it should, in GT5 it sounds like a v6, PS3 guys im glad your fine with that, but its Forza for me.

Use a high quality sound system and you will hear the diffeence for yourself. Just watch this video for the facts on both games. I own both the PS3 and the NEWEST Xbox 360 Slim with the 250 GB HDD and Kinect. I also own Gran Turismo 5 and Forza Motorsport 4 and went into extreme amounts of depth looking at both games. Both GT5 and Forza 4 had their pros & cons so I implore you to watch the video and see the differences in each game. I like both games and compared them as equally and objectively as possible.

Forza 4 is lacking in many areas including graphics. The F4 video shown is mostly from Autovista mode and not races. Races in Forza don't have cars that are that detailed. GT5 Premium cars hold more detail in races. BTW GT5 used the PS Eye for headtracking when it launched almost a year ago now and had Top Gear first as-well as NASCAR and rally racing in rain or snow with dynamic weather and day to night transitions. Forza 4 is missing quite a bit! Forza 4 is a GT5 clone.

Turn 10 built F4 from the ground up "they recycled nothing from F3" they built and released the game from scratch in under 2 years, on a weaker system "as an Xbox owner I have no problems admitting that". Imagine what Turn 10 could have made in 6 years with the processing power of a PS3!?
forza is a work of art and the fact is it delivers on its promise where as gt was a massive let down once gt was king but the fact is forza surpassed it and is leagues ahead as for forza only being a game and gt being a sim well I know what I think

GT5 and forza's physics are very close to each other(i play both and they are practically the same) GT5 has a little bit better graphics.
GT5 has more cars but honestly how many Nissan's do you need in one game?, plus there are a lot of cars that no one races anyways. GT5 has weather effects which is cool but no one races during blizzards because that's stupid, rain would be a good addition to forza but not a game breaker and night racing is cool but not needed. GT5 took 5 years for 1 large piece of shit that i wasted $60's on along with other people i know that were not happy about it. Gran Turdismo 5 was a huge let down.

gt5 and forza approach the racing genre differently.gt5 is a great game in its own right and sure it has issues even after spec 2 update,just as forza 4 will have its own issues.For me personally forza 4 is quite simply more fun to drive and easier on the ears in the sound department....enjoy both!

@PowerQube1234 It's supercharger whine, although GT5 does go overboard with it sometimes. I think it has something to do with the cockpit audio levels. PD tried a fix on this about 6 months ago which improved it but it's still not perfect.
@sgtgarry74 Just looked up a few comparison videos of GT5 vs Real Life and GT5 vs Forza. The only car on GT5 that doesn't sound like a vacuum cleaner and sort of resembles the car it is modeled after is you Mazda 787b. That is pretty much the only car.

Yes, PD is deeply involved into the car industry and real racing projects but they should put the same motivation into their own production. GT5 is a shame, even after the 20th patch. I put a ssd into my ps3 to decrease loading times but that didn't make it a better game. I am done with GT. Let's see what GT6 on PS4 has to offer, when it comes out in dezember 2017... Turn10 delivers every 2 jears and becomes better and better.....

Forza 4 is lacking in many areas including graphics. The F4 video shown is mostly from Autovista mode and not races. Races in Forza don't have cars that are that detailed. GT5 Premium cars hold more detail in races. BTW GT5 used the PS Eye for headtracking when it launched almost a year ago now and had Top Gear first as-well as NASCAR and rally racing in rain or snow with dynamic weather and day to night transitions. Forza 4 is missing quite a bit! Forza 4 is a GT5 clone.

@nachobear5100 Agreed, both are great! But what alot of people have an issue with is the product GT put out with 5-6 years of development and an amazing system like the PS3 to work with. Turn 10 built F4 from the ground up "they recycled nothing from F3" they built and released the game from scratch in under 2 years, on a weaker system "as an Xbox owner I have no problems admitting that". Imagine what Turn 10 could have made in 6 years with the processing power of a PS3!?

GT5 has more cars but honestly how many Nissan's do you need in one game?, plus there are a lot of cars that no one races anyways. GT5 has weather effects which is cool but no one races during blizzards because that's stupid, rain would be a good addition to forza but not a game breaker and night racing is cool but not needed. GT5 took 5 years for 1 large piece of shit that i wasted $60's on along with other people i know that were not happy about it. Gran Turdismo 5 was a huge let down.

gt5 and forza approach the racing genre differently.gt5 is a great game in its own right and sure it has issues even after spec 2 update,just as forza 4 will have its own issues.For me personally forza 4 is quite simply more fun to drive and easier on the ears in the sound department....enjoy both!

el sonido del motor del audi suena fatal en el gran turismo, el banco de sonidos de gran turismo casi nunca lo renueva, cosa que forza motorsport cada juego que hace registran con mejor calidad los motores, forza le ha dado tiempo de lanzar 3 cosa que en ps3 solo han hecho 1 y esta inacabado. To cap the game and not finished, not all cars are damaged or have cockpit view, which did not have them now has a black interior. Driving simulator GT5 unreal, the time it took to get up or not complete, Microsoft has released 3 forza.

Gran Turismo truly is The Real Driving Simulator.
It is super realistic. Other games (Ridge Racer) make drifting look easy but GT5 shows u that it aint all easy.

@PowerQube1234 It's supercharger whine, although GT5 does go overboard with it sometimes. I think it has something to do with the cockpit audio levels. PD tried a fix on this about 6 months ago which improved it but it's still not perfect.

@sgtgarry74 Just looked up a few comparison videos of GT5 vs Real Life and GT5 vs Forza. The only car on GT5 that doesn't sound like a vacuum cleaner and sort of resembles the car it is modeled after is you Mazda 787b. That is pretty much the only car.

Yes, PD is deeply involved into the car industry and real racing projects but they should put the same motivation into their own production. GT5 is a shame, even after the 20th patch. I put a ssd into my ps3 to decrease loading times but that didn't make it a better game. I am done with GT. Let's see what GT6 on PS4 has to offer, when it comes out in dezember 2017... Turn10 delivers every 2 jears and becomes better and better.....

One thing guys, Gran Turismo is admired by Car Manufacturers, PD has helped Citroen to create a supercar, how many cars have T10 developed to become true car ? or how many Le Mans wins does T10 have ??
