  • @mugekid57 - Are you speaking about the sort order of the contents of one folder?

    @mollydog444 - Yes, they're purely for organizational purposes. When Windows 2003 Server came out they implemented was I consider the predecessor of this feature. Over the years companies had folders and files sprout up in many locations. Finding a way to group those resources for users was a great idea and this is a desktop implementation. Your idea on photos should work fine I think.

  • let's say i have some video files in a folder how do i move one to another spot in the same folder?

  • Are libraries, then, sort of a gathering place for a group of folders that are scattered about? A place to keep related items so they are easier to get to - sort of like the desktop shortcuts? So they are like urls to various info within the computer? Is that the idea?

    So if I have digital photos in various folders - like Kodak pictures, Adobe, My Pictures, I could make a library called "Photo Organization" in which to gather them all and sort through them?
