@Shellegify ("I feel sorry for you for being so ignorant.")
I feel sorry for you for being so biased/blind.
I NEVER imply that the Jews didn't suffer horribly under Nazism.
I (and Indigo Girls) point out that they weren't the ONLY ones to suffer horribly under Nazism.
I further point out:
a) how sad it makes me that a People who have SO suffered under oppression haven't learned that ALL oppression is wrong - even that carried out by your allies.
to say what happened to other peoples was what happened to the Jewish People is simply horrific ignorace. Shellegify is absolutely right. Yes, many others were targeted by the Nazis, but none like the Jews. Millions others died, yes, and that cannot be minimized, but the six million, including one and half million children, all of whom were targeted because of their faith, were systematically persecuted on a level the world had never seen before.
it's just too bad your titles are all cheery and colorful with flashy animations... if they were a little more serious your message would be even more dramatic... ultimately you have a great message and an intense video... good job
Thanks for the encouraging words! This is only the second video I made and I was using Windows Movie Maker, so I was limited to the styles that my version of that had on offer. I agree that the words are garish ("cheery and colorful with flashy animations") but I was trying to grab people's attention. (I'm not ready for my Golden Globe nomination yet...)
Bullshit. How can any man who is not analphabet compare the killing of millions with the palestinian "conflict". Have you ever heard of Covadonga???
Have you ever heard of Lepanto??? and the jew Jesus??. I guess you are all from USA. I love that country, but if you want to listen, don´t imitate what we do in europe. Dont be idiots.
To the no-brained BIGOTS who call me "anti-semitic", "Nazi", "pro-terrorist", etc. etc.:
I subscribe to "Jewish Voice For Peace" (Google that or type it all out in small letters without spacing and add ".org")
It REALLY is ironic (don't you think?) that those of us who MOST want Peace and reject ALL forms of violence (including and ESPECIALLY State Violence) are called "Nazis" by hate-filled pseudo-, crypto- or neo-Nazis who sputter violence and prejudice non-stop!
@jimmsfairytales0com You say you talk of peace, but listen you, listen to your words, the emotions they evoke. They are not of peace. They provoke. Your words are filled with hostility and accusations. There is no solution or resolutions in your words to this conflict that is going on in Israel. You might "say" you want peace but I do not believe you. Your words and your video say otherwise.
Stop with the semantics. Yes we know Arabs are semitic but the fact remains the term used for those who are prejudiced against the Jewish people because of policies of the Israeli government are anti semites. It's an old term but it's all we got to label people like you that hide behind Israel's policies to attack the Shoah or any other area where Jews may be overly represented that you don't like.
("... the fact remains the term used for those who are prejudiced against the Jewish people because of policies of the Israeli government are anti semites.")
3 points: a) the term may be used, but it's used incorrectly and CALCULATEDLY to scare decent people away from criticising the fascist policies of successive Israeli governments. Because of THAT attempted blackmail, I REFUSE to credit the term in that usage
b) Ever hear of Jewish Voice For Peace? Would you call THEM anti-semite?
@jimmsfairytales0com That is an insignificant point whether the term is used incorrectly. What is significant is that people are dying over there and the fact that you're dwelling on this insignificant aspect reveals that you don't care about the issues, what you care about is pointing fingers and blaming and then to come up with this conspiracy that the term was calculated to scare people from criticizing sounds like you're also an historical revisionist. Where did you get that claptrap from?
@kazywaz "That is an insignificant point whether the term is used incorrectly."
It isn't insignificant AT ALL! The misuse is used most calculatedly to emotionally blackmail liberally-minded people into NOT raising their voices against the Israeli state's oppression of the Palestinians "because if you do, you're anti-semitic (= pseudo-Nazi)".
@kazywaz "What is significant is that people are dying over there"
I COULDN'T AGREE MORE! About 1400 of them (PALESTINIANS) died IN JUST 22 DAYS when the Israelis carried out "Operation Cast Lead", a crime against humanity which the international community refuses to condemn unanimously BECAUSE of this "anti-semitic" emotional blackmail.
EVERY SINGLE TIME that a resolution comes up in the UN Security Council just CRITICISING Israel, The USA vetoes it so NOTHING is ever done. You find that just?
@kazywaz "...reveals that you don't care about the issues, what you care about is pointing fingers ..."
One thing I care about is HYPOCRISY! If 14 Israeli citizens die in a bus bombing, everybody is ready to condemn the violence and call the suicide bomber a terrorist.
When 1400 Palestinian citizens die in "Operation Cast Lead", any of us who say that the state of Israel is terrorist... we're called "anti-semitic" (understood: "fans of Hitler")
With double standards... there's no just solution.
(cont.) Would you say that the Jewish members of Jewish Voice For Peace hate Jews?
c) ("It's an old term but it's all we got to label people like you...") Get YOUR facts straight: opposing the inhumane policies of the government of a nation made up MOSTLY of Jews does NOT make me / us anti-Jewish or anti-Semite or anti-Israeli. It makes us anti-OPPRESSION and anti-BULLY-BOY TACTICS. (One of the bully-boy tactics I have to put up with is venom-filled comments from the likes of you.)
Stop with the semantics bull shit already. Yes we know that Arabs are semites but the fact remains that the term to describe prejudice of those people who are Jewish are called anti semites. You want to change the terminology? Is that what bothers you so much that you distract people from the issue of Jewish hatred by going off on who is a semite and who isn't. Calling someone an anti semite does not mean they hate semites - it means they hate Jews - it's an old terminology - get over yourself
Just WHO's playing with semantics??? It is a well-known FACT that the expression "anti-semite" conjures up in most people's minds visions of the Nazis, Neo-Nazis, and other fascists and bigots.
It is therefore EXTREMELY hypocritical (and calculating) of fascist Zionists (and please note that I DON'T include most Jews in this criticism) and the Israeli Government to brand ALL of us who support the Palestinians' right to self-determination as "anti-semite" [and therefore "Neo-Nazi"]!
way to be an asshole anti semite, The jews have every right to bitch about the holocaust they lost more people then any other group thank you very much.
I am NOT antisemitic! [It may be news to you that more Palestinians than Israelis are Semites. Most Israelis are Ashkenazis, NOT Semites! So - in oppressing Palestinians - the STATE of Israel is, in fact, antisemitic!!! An accusation that they - and ill-informed people like YOU - ironically and CYNICALLY use to try and silence protest against their cruelty and injustice.]
GAZA? Excuse me, but you have no idea whats going on in Israel! WE are the real victims here.. WE gave them lands and now theyre using it against us. the fire and The city- Sderot has been the target of Palestinian rocket attacks for 8 years already! They started the fire and we had to fight back.
And let's not forget that Israel - with 7.5 million people (ranking 96th country in the World by population) - is the FOURTH most heavily armed country in the World. And that's SOFISTICATED weaponry. While the Palestinians are largely armed with home-made missiles and bombs strapped to suicide bombers.
But this is beside the point. Take off your blinkers and look at the REASONS why SOME Palestinians feel DRIVEN to retaliate.
People in Gaza are living in near concentration camp conditions. Homes and orchards, wells and electricity sources are destroyed. Access to medical attention, schools, places of work, and relatives is hindered - or denied - at checkpoints.
If some Jews in Nazi Germany carried out suicide missions to kill some of their oppressors, you would consider them martyr HEROES.
Let me see, if the Arabs and Palestinians had any desire for peace with Israel, then they would not have started all this in the first place immediately after Israel was made a state in 1948. Much of Israel today was already in the hands of the Jews before the formation of the Israeli state, as it had been poor land that the Ottoman Empire had sold the Jews. The Palestinians did not want the Jews there, even though the land was bought by them, and carried out many attacks
After the Israeli independence in 1948, the Arab world attacked Israel trying to expel them from the region. After the 1948 war, the borders were expanded. Israel has expanded several times in the wake of Arabs declaring war on them. If the Arabs had been willing to have peace, they wouldn't be in the position they are today.
" why is the one person circled in the pic at 3:20?"
I downloaded these images using "Google images". I felt that this photo fitted, but didn't find a copy without the circle. I assume that the circling has to do with the article (about that individual?) that this image illustrates
Having written that, I could add:
So often, "Victims of The Holocaust" are presented as an idea. The cicle reminds us that EACH ONE OF THEM was an individual.
Wow. Very well done. It is so incredible that in this day and age- 2010- there still is so much hate and contempt in this world. I wish that people would let go of their fears of the unknown and just respect each other. Sadly- I doubt that day will ever come.
Judging by your pseudonym and the age you give in your profile (unless you're LYING to us all...), I can make a pretty good guess as to who you are. So I appreciate the compliment instead of the usually slagging off you give me. (Don't get me wrong: you KNOW that I love the slaggings-off, too!)
Isn't it - however - about time that you were producing videos of your own? If I can do it, I KNOW that you can!
I never watched this, i've heard enough holocaust exaggerations and victimology.
Now I'll click another "this train" link and maybe hear some music.

Thank YOU very much for being so insulting AND ill-informed.
Definition of holocaust:
1 : a sacrifice consumed by fire
2 : a thorough destruction involving extensive loss of life especially through fire
3 a often capitalized and usually used with 'the': the mass slaughter of European civilians and especially Jews by the Nazis during World War II
b : a mass slaughter of people;
Now...
Jewish deaths: 6 million (estimated)
Russian civilian deaths: between 12 and 14 million

If you look at ANY war in history, you will find that BOTH sides were convinced that they had RIGHT and TRUTH on their side.
If you look at ANY case of oppression, the oppressors would be SURE to say: "Oppressors? Who, US???!!!"
The Nazis believed that Jews (and Gypsies, Homosexuals, Anarchists, Socialists...) were SCUM, evil, a PROBLEM that NEEDED to be removed.
Just WHERE do you see a difference with Israel / Palestine?
