I know this song back to front. How on earth, I wondered, could Don McLean's "Vincent" of all those years ago (1971?), a song about van Gogh, be used to accompany a Drarry narrative? And ... what an achievement! No wonder you cried like a baby. No doubt most who've watched this have done likewise. The song fits your story in so many ingenious ways. Your story is, yes, dramatic and sad, yet ... plausible. Draco as an artist, Harry as lover. The images match the song again and again - perfectly.
I've never cried so much over a video. It was beautifully made, and made my heart shatter in the most tragically wonderful way. Thank you for sharing your talent with the rest of us :)

So I can't stop crying... But the subject is sorta close to me. Someone I knew a while ago killed himself; my mother found him. And a couple years later, I was diagnosed with depression I ended up inheriting from my grandmother, who's pretty suicidal. I guess I'm scared, you know? What'll happen if I get as bad as that, but there won't be anyone to stop me?

I never thought it was possible for me to cry harder then I cryed after I found out Severus would die... I was wrong. Everyone in the room is worried about me now. This is by far the sadest Drarry vid I have ever seen. (And I've seen many) You have gripped my heart and poked it repeatedly with a beautiful sadness you only see in the saddest of love poems. This song has always made me cry but you've matched the scenes and words so perfectly... when Draco closes the blind in the train (2:15)... when Harry is in tears (without his glasses at 3:21) or alone in the field (2:00)... Draco and Harry seem to be living/feeling the emotions described in the song... and you just pull us in and make us share their pain... Thanks!

I really think, this is the most beautiful video I've ever seen. You've made it so meaningful with the right silences, the right scenes... It's so simple and so beautiful because of that. @FireIsLife1298 I don't think canon Draco is into painting! But I read a fantastic one-shot a while back where Draco was taking an art class at Hogwarts and nothing he painted seemed right. Until, on impulse, he started painting Harry. If I can find the link to that story, I'll post it. The body painting scenes I've used are from a very sad but beautiful film called Watercolors. I had to use it, if for no other reason than it makes it look as if Draco is painting Harry in Gryffindor colours! x

I kept replaying that scene in the trailer over and over when I first saw it. I'm guessing that that particular scene takes place somewhere at the beginning of DH2. Voldemort is probably not too pleased that Draco and his other followers let Harry escape the manor...
@hrmheatherrenee I'm inclined to agree with you - Voldemort's feet are muddy and he has wet robes so he's probably come straight from Dumbledore's tomb. What interests me is the lack of anyone else in the clip - it's just Voldemort, Nagini and Draco. Oh, and you can count me in too when it comes to unhealthy Draco obsessions :-p

@SciFiNerd92 It was in the DH2 first trailer - the one that opens with Snape in Godric's Hollow, and young Lily and Petunia. Draco is stood in a room full of dead bodies, with Voldemort walking towards him and Nagini at his feet but I have no idea where in the film it happens :-)

@FireIsLife1298 I don't think canon Draco is into painting! But I read a fantastic one-shot a while back where Draco was taking an art class at Hogwarts and nothing he painted seemed right. Until, on impulse, he started painting Harry. If I can find the link to that story, I'll post it. The body painting scenes I've used are from a very sad but beautiful film called Watercolors. I had to use it, if for no other reason than it makes it look as if Draco is painting Harry in Gryffindor colours! x

I have to double my dose of Prozac because of you, make an appointment with a shrink every day, eat tons of chocolate fudge ice cream, do a really bad haircut and watch "Titanic" because It makes me cheerful watch Leonardo di Carpi drown (Hooray) ... OK it worked im crying like as if i bloody lost sumone myself.......the video has finished and as im writing this the tears are still falling down my cheeks, Luck i brought a new box of tissues when i went to the shops 2day......You have only posted 3 vids BUT I LOVE THEM ALL, This one and OMG your last one are tied for first place i CANT choose and in second is ya dirty one.....Your Amazing.....wow i think the tears finally just stopped LOL........Will be watching out for your work everyday <3

Okay, yup. You made me cry. Not nice! This video is absolutely beautiful, and heartrenchingly perfect in every way. I normally don't like videos that have the story told in subtitles, but they weren't distracting; in fact they added to the video. Very very well done!

I kept replaying that scene in the trailer over and over when I first saw it. I'm guessing that that particular scene takes place somewhere at the beginning of DH2. Voldemort is probably not too pleased that Draco and his other followers let Harry escape the manor...

I have no idea how I do the text - to be honest it's a bloody pain knowing what to put, when to put it and trying to fit everything in with the rhythm of the song! @SciFiNerd92 It was in the DH2 first trailer - the one that opens with Snape in Godric's Hollow, and young Lily and Petunia. Draco is stood in a room full of dead bodies, with Voldemort walking towards him and Nagini at his feet but I have no idea where in the film it happens :-)
