Hmmm, ever since I installed my Kartboy SS on my 06 my shifting is VERY clunky. I might need to uninstall and reinstall it. I have to SLAM gears for them to sink at high revs such as at the strip. Sounds like yours is butter smooth. I have the F/R shifter bushings and the Gruppe N tranny mount and none of those cured my problem.

Yes, kinda, FFS is set at 7500 but I shifted right at 7k. If you have to wait for FFS you are shifting to slow ;-), shifts hit much harder without it. I always shifted full throttle in the STi, even when it was bone stock, that tranny ROCKS! I was using a Kartboy SS, stay away from the Agency power ones, I broke two of those, lol.

@ScubaSteveSTi Do you go on any forums that show your specs? I would love to have my 04 STi running close to yours. Right now I have K&N cold air intake, GT spec header, TBE Catless Full turbo back 3" Invidia exhaust and Adjustable coil overs. Then I just got an IA performance custom map for my Cobb accessport. Only running around 17.5PSI but damn I'm scared to go more with stock engine block I heard those things can only take 400bhp max I'm running just a bit under that.

Yeah, check my other vids. I just got tired of blowing motors. Word of advice, if you plan to make more then 450whp and drive it hard like I did, GET IT SLEEVED.

@ScubaSteveSTi What blew? Your built motor or your stock motor? From what? I plan on pushing my stock motor with E85 to the 450 limit ;-) I only will race it from time to time -- should last the summor or two before I need a rebuilt.

I must say I've never seen anyone drive a sti like that. In all your vids you have perfect launches and shifts. That's very hard in a sti. Great driving.

Thanks man, I really appreciate that. That pass wasn't my fastest ever (10.8@130) but it was still my best IMO. Only 23psi and on the AccessPORT with launch control only making about 6psi off the line. Now if I can get my Z06 to leave that hard I'll be back in the 10's! :)

Stock 6spd with JDM 5th and 6th gear, stock front axles, stock driveshaft, DSS rear bars and a Kartboy short shifter :).

How much of a diff. did you notice with the JDM 5th and 6th. I have an 05 and Was really interested in getting them. I'm on IWSTI too. haha

As you can see in the vid 5th doesn't drop as much as the USDM 5th and the car just pulls. I still have my complete tranny swap (trans, axles, drive shaft, r180, shift linkage, shifter) for sale, you should just buy mine and sell yours, no down time!
