I tried it again, but still I have Cydia, and the App Installer, but as soon as I put my simcard in, the home screen locks up and says "emergency calls only". I can make and take calls, but nothing else, no i-functions, not even my sim contacts. I take the card out and put in the other sim with no idenetity on it, and the i-functions come back, no phone functions. Any ideas?

what iphone do you use iphone 3G or 2G if it is 3G this is not for 3G but if it is 2G please try tothe same again it will work i am sure you can leave your sim card in doesn't really matter.regards

I run into the same problem after following your procedure to upgrade firmware to 2.2 and jailbreaking. I can make phone calls at the emergency screen, and it has a constant message about different SIM detected and requiring to connect to iTune, and does not allow me to see the home screen on iPhone. When I connect it to iPhone, a message on iTune saying my T-mobile is not supported.

When I upgrade iPhone with new firmware 2.2 with iTune, it did not say anything about unlock option. When I used QuickPwn to jailbreak iPhone, I chose unlock option by clicking its checkmark. Thank you for your reply.

Oh I C you first upgrade it by itunes then you used the Pwn anyway now there is a chance to downgrade your iphone then try to upgrade it with pan I am sure your problem will be solved. Good Luck

I think you have to try to do this in another video if the problem still appears please try to downgrade to a earlier version and then try to unlock and jailbreak it make sure you have an iphone 3G

he is wrong...u need to download the 2.2 firmware and restore ur phone with it using the SHIFT button and clicking on restore. repeat the process as u would unlock it with 2.1 and there u go

OMG! FINALLY! So, I got the unlock to work (I think). Here is what I had to do: I downloaded the files you have in your info. I went through the steps you provided in your video (THANK YOU!!). I then went into Cydia and installed OpenSSH and Bootloader. I really don't think I had to do the bootloader thing because I think it actually turns "unlock" on when you jailbreak the phone with Quickpwn. I was just trying to cover all of my bases. I think the key here was OpenSSH. (*continued*)

It happen to me to!!! and u know what happen after that? I restore iPhone in iTunes and then on my iPhone says: No Service, so I went to Apple Store and they exchange my iPhone for the new one. So if I be you, i would not do that again lol.
