The good old 'generic' irish music playing in the background. tin whistles with loads of reverb and some fella pounding a bodhrán.

It really annoys me that I can't watch an excerpt from a nature program without the false americanised idea of Irish culture being thrown back at me.

atlantic salmon do not feed in fresh water,and unlike pacific salmon which all die after spawning, some do survive return to spawn .

those are atlantic salmon and unlike the pacific salmon they don't stop feeding when they enter the rivers so that was a small inaccuracy of the commentary.

There's hardly any salmon left to return up our rivers now thanks to over catching with nets at the river mouths & disease & parasites caught from farmed salmon
