I work with titanium most of the time. I also make rings with it and it kind off sucks. it's not that strong i take a lot of snapped and busted titanium rings and parts to the recyclers all the time. Steel is way better titanium is just not as heavy.

First of all, gents. This guys name is Phil Hendrie and he used to do a prank radio show. Secondly, I work in ballistics, and a thickness of titanium like this won't even stop a 9mm, and if it did, it would take the finger off. If it had magically fragmented, he would have severe burns and fragments inside of his palm. The air blast alone would have taken his finger off, or at least broken it severely.

No, any metallurgist will tell you that's a myth. I'm pretty sure it's about 1.5 times stronger than steel per weight, but it is also less dense than steel so an equivalent strength piece of titanium will be bulkier than the piece of steel. Pretty sure that pure titanium is actually rather soft. But titanium alloys can get quite strong.
