RightStuf has them for much cheaper, but if you're looking for episodes online, your choices are to either find a good torrent, or go to Veoh. They have all the episodes in both sub and dub form, but they're the aired versions...in other words, edited for time for airing on SciFi.

Still worth it if you're like me and can't wait for the DVD releases for your Gurren Lagann fix.

I think it had to do with Simon becoming a man; he depended on Kamina as a father/older brother figure, and Kamina's death finally sent him on his own path. Still, I agree with you. I loved Kamina.
