I always found the animation representing the turning of corners to be most confusing. Otherwise I loved the graphics in this game. It's a real pity about the turning-corner animation because it really detracted from the game for me by making it difficult to play or orientate oneself especially when enimies are nearby and, after all, there are other games that did it better on the amiga.

I am working on a remake of this game for the PC. Think of it as a mod. It will be free once completed but at the moment I see it as an on going thing, getting better every year. I loved this game and will lovingly create for the PC as a hobby. I have worked out the AI and the coding. What I really need is someone who can make game models. guys i need help please, im playing space hulk off of dosbox on xp and i am duing mission 3. so i destroy the statue an then genestealers come pooring in. i kept killing the hord of genestealers but they just keep coming and coming! i fought the hord for an hour or so and died. is the hord eventualy going to stop or do i have to do something?

@josephddd117 Sorry I haven't played this in about 10 years but, I'm certain they won't stop coming. YOu have to do something else (some objective to pass the mission). Maybe get back to the exit or something?

Awesome Fckn game. Played it on Amiga - very scary when was a kid. BTW: on 3 floppy disks( third was very important and often it was damaged after longer playing)

Those missions where the scanner fails were intense; because you don't know what weapons to arm with until the mission has begun. Selecting assault cannons for a mission full of maze like, short twisting and turning corridors meant almost certain death!

Man, this game kicked ass, and more often than not it kicked my ass aswell lol. Great fun, but incredibly hard. Those Genestealers were gusty little b******s, and the Storm Blasters were so unreliable, you'd get into a fight with a few Genestealers and the damn things would jam.

Dispite the now dated graphics, it had one of the smartest game AIs that can be encountered; Genestealers came out with really sneaky manoevres, one of the few games that actually gave me an adrenalin rush when playing it.

I used to get quite far in the game (around mission twelve), but my brother screwed the HDD partition with Space Hulk, and I wasn't too keen on playing it from scratch, as it's incredibly intense and hard. Love the game, though. I wish they would make a new one.

By this point in the game you've killed the Genestealer Patriarch and destroyed all their stored genetic material, so probably that. Or maybe it's just because you managed to find him; I skipped past all the other missions. :p

Actually, I used a hex editor to just skip to the last level. I was planning on playing it through properly, but I got sick of going down a corridor and having Genestealers bursting out of the walls directly in front of me and wiping out my squad. Sorry. :)
